We recently visited Dil Se Indian Restaurant and had a wonderful experience. We ordered chilly chicken, chicken noodles, papri chaat, golgappe, and kulfi, and honestly everything was excellent. The chilly chicken had great flavor and the perfect balance of spice, while the chicken noodles were very tasty and well cooked.nnThe papri chaat and golgappe really reminded us of authentic Indian street food – fresh, tangy, and full of flavor. It’s not always easy to find chaat done right, but they did a great job here. We finished with kulfi, which was the perfect dessert and tasted very traditional.nnOverall, the food quality was great and the dishes felt fresh and well prepared. If you’re looking for good Indian street food and Indo-Chinese dishes, this place is definitely worth trying. We’ll definitely be coming back again!
We had the most amazing experience at Dil Se.nMy taste buds are dancing, the food the service the love that goes into this food is impeccable! Raj thank you for your beautiful smile!nnThank you from the bottom of our hearts!
During our trip to Toronto a couple of months ago, we stumbled upon what is hands-down the best Indian food I’ve ever had in Canada — and that’s saying something after trying spots across the country! Dil Se meaning “from the heart” truly lives up to its name with authentic North Indian cuisine cooked straight from Chef Mani Panwar’s passion and his mother’s traditional recipes.nWe ordered their famous award-winning Chicken Kamasutra — oh my god, that creamy, spiced tomato-based gravy with tender chicken was pure seduction on a plate! The rich orange hue, swirl of cream, fresh parsley, and pops of green/red peppers made it look and taste like edible art. We also devoured the Butter Chicken — mild yet deeply flavorful with melt-in-your-mouth chunks — and a smoky Chicken Tikka Masala loaded with charred veggies, onions, ginger slivers, and that irresistible red sauce. Don’t miss the Dal Makhani either; slow-cooked black lentils in a velvety, buttery, garlic-infused heaven, topped with a generous dollop of cream.nEverything arrived in beautiful copper vessels, served piping hot with fluffy garlic naan that was perfect for scooping up every last bit. The portions were generous, flavors bold yet balanced, and the whole meal felt like a warm, homemade hug from India.nService was welcoming and efficient, the vibe cozy and elegant on Roncesvalles Ave — a gem in a street full of great eats. If you’re in Toronto craving real, soul-satisfying Indian food, make Dil Se your first and probably only stop. We’ll be dreaming about that Chicken Kamasutra until we return! Highly recommend — 5 stars aren’t enough.
The food was excellent. They have a wide range of offerings. We ordered the chicken lababdar, chicken tikka masala, 2 x garlic naan bread and plain rice. The main dishes were exceptional and had a lot of depth. They were each spiced to our personal preferences. Plenty of chicken on each dish and enough sauce to cover a healthy portion of rice and to eat over the naan. Our first order of naan was good, but the second order of naan bread was super fresh and came out steaming - a stark difference. Every order should come out steaming.nnThe hostess was ok. She sat us down, but didn't bring any menus or offer is water. We had to get up and get our own. The other three people who came to our table server, runner, and bus boy were all exceptionally kind and on point.nnThe restaurant is very clean, well lit and cozy. We ate early and had the entire front section to ourselves, which was lovely.nnHighly recommend.
I love Indian cuisine and Dil Se offers the best variety of high quality and tasty Indian dishes.nnThe restaurant spreads through 2 floors; main floor with the main bar and booths/tables for couples or groups. For larger group gatherings and event, there is a spacious dining area below ground with a separate bar. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.nnI have tried different dishes on their menu and there’s not a single dish I didn’t enjoy or I wouldn’t recommend. Each dish is put together with their unique spices and flavours. And the presentation is beautifully done.nnI strongly recommend “Chicken Kamasutra”, “Butter Chicken”, “Shahi Paneer” and the variety of their roti, paratha, naan and kulcha.
