Very quick and friendly check-in. Rooms were set up very nicely. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the smell of the new carpet. It was very strong but I'm sure in food time this will settle - not too much can be done about that.nnContinental breakfast was well stocked with quite a lot of variety. The only thing I would add is a fruit salad berries, melons, and grapes. Oranges and apples were provided as well as delicious pastries, breads and muffins, and cherrios, lots of boiled eggs, oatmeal, orange juice, and coffee was pretty good Was a small sitting area, but we generally take our breakfast upstairs or to go anyway.nFriendly staff, amble parking, and safe area.
One of the most disappointing hotel stays. I paid $140, but what I got wasn't even worth $50: I was accommodated in a windowless basement room with a slightly odd smell. The breakfast was mediocre. That all wouldn't be so terrible but what really bugged me that – for that price – I had hoped to sleep well after an exhausting multi-day trip. My hopes were disappointed as there's no interior sound proofing, someone kept pushing a service cart upstairs until 1.30 a.m. It felt like I was sleeping under a bowling alley. Noise reemerged at 5 a.m. in the morning. The photos associated with Google also look nothing like the hotel itself. It's also right on a busy road, with limited options for safe active transportation. Pedestrian traffic lights crossing Dundas did not turn green, so I had to cross while it was red. All this being said, the rooms were somewhat tidy and service was friendly. At checkout, the manager asked how I felt about the stay, and I reported the above. To his credit, he apologized, and said I'd be accommodated better next time. However, I didn't want to risk another sleepless night, and I cancelled my next stay.
We were in a dirty, uncomfortable and insecure hotel with my partner. We made the decision to leave this hotel.nThe Monte Carlo Inn hotel was kind enough to welcome us. The man at reception received us very well and even showed us our room before we paid to make sure we were comfortable he clearly didn't have to. The room was perfect !nWe can only thank the Monte Carlo Inn hotel!
Got there at night and thankfully they had rooms for us. The clerk was very informative and welcomed us with a warm smile.nnThe room was neat and clean and the continental food was good too.nnI definitely will go there if I ever visits Toronto and I would definitely recommend this inn.
