CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!! I was sold a $1,400 king size bed frame as standard size on which no standard king size mattress fits. The 4 inch gap between the bed frame and mattress see pictures is a major liability as I get in and out of the bed. I trusted the sales lady and ended up being lied to. Overall I found the sales people to be aggressive and with minimal integrity. Senior manager of the store was no different to his staff. Once you part ways with your money you have no chance to change your mind even if it’s the next day and you hadn’t received the item. Quality is substandard and does NOT reflect the money paid. I would highly recommend to stay far far away from this company! UPDATE: Bed frame broke 3 years later. Threw it in the garbage. Cheap quality, super expensive price from the one and only JC crooks!!
Please be wise and avoid buying from here! We ordered five appliances eight months in advance and made over 2k deposit. When the delivery date came close, I called and emailed Philippe, who is our sales advisor, and confirmed many times that we can have all appliances delivered on time. We were informed one day before the delivery date that most of items in the order were out of stock and we needed to wait another couple of months yet no guarantee! I communicated with Philippe, to find a solution. The whole experience was unpleasant, confusing and time consuming. At the end we had to cancel the whole order and buy from other places, I wish I didn’t waste my time here.
Terrible Experience. It was the first time I bought on this store and I would not do it again. I bought a marbel coffee table that was on exhibition they delivered it BROKEN and they said it was like that and I MOST PROBABLY didn't see it. They don't understand the client needs at all. Each time I called to the costumer service they were supposed to called me back which never happened. I end up going to to store and the only solution was a credit to spend with them. I am sure you can find something nice somewhere else for the same prices and not broken.
We bought a L-shaped bed couch for a good amount of money. We then realized the fabric was glued on the coussin, which then of course unglued. We were also suggested to take a memory foam mattress, the thing is very uncomfortable, not worth the extra money at all. It's been now three months and we still waiting on a resolution. I believe the worst part is that the after sales are not handled by the store. I'm this close to just go dump the thing in front of the store. Bad service and bad products.
Ordered and paid fully in March 2021 and fast forward mid-October 2021. The delay stayed was 4 months .... Nobody cares , I've inquired and shown up only to be bounced around with more ludicrous estimate each time. Full bedroom set with mattress made here in Québec. Buy local they said ... Plus I found out today the representative no longer work here and nobody picked up my file. No compensation offered.
UPDATE DEC 21 2021. I still try to get repairs when i pass by nearby the store. In the last year since i posted this i have been at least 3 times regarding this issue. They are still understaffed and somewhat vexxed once they find out you are not there to purchase anything. Their attitudes' still short despite me biting my tongue when actual anger would have been warranted a long time ago. Every single time they say they cannot do anything to help you and that you MUST call their after service department. They assure you you will be helped good old run around tactics...I am now convinced the after-service department is non-existent. Never any answer, never any replies to messages or emails and literally no sign of life from them to indicate they in fact are a real functioning department let alone a viable solution to any problem you might have. I ended up finding my own upholsterer for my initial problem; however, i now need a mechanical repair which sent me back and NO ONE can help me. The part i am looking to repair MYSELF seems to be sold out everywhere online so i am now obligated to deal with the store AS PER THE LAY Z BOY WEBSITE. I spent thousands on these couches after hearing from anyone and everyone that la z boy has amazing service and support if you ever needed it so i am baffled and the experience i am facing. Let's see if 2022 brings more luck on this issue. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Worthless is not an insult but the most accurate word i can find to describe the Lay z boy department. After service is poor and they lack the competences or desire to be helpful and they bring no value to the purchase; in fact they devalue the experience and borderline make you regret the purchase. Managers have proven difficult and unpleasant to deal with due to poor attitudes, they just feel worn down by circumstances...I got a new home to furnish shortly but they have fallen short every chance they got and the bar was set so low to begin with lol. I will not be buying here unless they got something i can't find elsewhere.

During this time of pandemic, the salesperson Kim went above and beyond. Due to my chronic asthma, we don't go in stores and get everything delivered but needed a new dining table. Most of the work was done on the phone very patient and even called me back when she was home with her kids to assist. Once it was time to actually choose the wood grain/color to finalize purchase, she was very considerate and open to meeting me outside the store with a few sample choices preselected based on interest. Met her outside, made the final choice and voila....she was a real gem. Was a JCP customer before and will continue to be for certain select items when looking for quality pieces. But kudos to JC Perreault for being flexible and customer oriented during this difficult period and once more to Kim for a great service during and even called after table was delivered to see if I was satisfied.
Expect that you deal with different businesses as every salesperson has his own way of treating customer and different prices as well. I usually don’t like to write a long review but hopefully the owner would realize the issue instead of requesting to send an email on her/his reply to this review like it was done with all other reviews because I could see many people had the same issues from long time ago. I visited the store two days three times. In the first visit, I had to request for help from the salespeople who were sitting and chatting besides the customer service desk ! The salesman was helpful and provided me quote on the set we chose. Although, I found out in the next day that he provided me wrong information stating that the firm foam for the sofa set would be more expensive than the standard foam. It was about closing time and I decided to come again in the next day as he told me he is here everyday. The next day, the salesman was busy with other customers and I was approached by another salesman who couldn’t speak English. Then, the worst experience began with another saleswoman who was very rude with me and her colleagues as well. She gave a quote which was higher by about $600 for the same set ! I confronted her that this price is much higher than yesterday and then she came back saying that they always need to ask the manager to give the discount they salesman didn’t do it yesterday. she gave a similar quote and I told her I might come back on Tuesday but she asked me to come back on Wednesday or Thursday because her mother is visiting her Hello World. After shopping around, I came back to the store and the saleswoman was bust with other customer and asked me to call and take an appointment with her. So, I informed her that I am not coming back to ask a question and gave me a wrong answer. The customer service desk called the salesman from yesterday for three times in the speakers and I was willing to wait. Another saleswoman approached us to help and was able to answer all my questions. I asked her for the new quote and she was about to calculate it in the computer when she was reached by the first angry saleswoman fighting all of us and I believe it’s all about the commission. As a business owner who offers commission to his employees, I could see how things are very wrong to happen this way and decided to walk away when she started to lecturing that I am not supposed to get help from others. So, I walked away with the intention of never coming back to such place. I don’t recommend others to go there because their low level customer service and untrustworthy prices that you would be offered differently from different salespeople for the same product.
Wasn't sure what to expect from this place but walked in one day to look for some appliances. We were created by a very nice sales rep. He was very helpful and knowledgeable of the products offered. He explained everything very well and gave us a fair and competitive price. We then wanted to look for some furniture so he introduced us to another sales rep on the furniture side. He was also very helpful and knowledgeable of the products offered. He gave us great advice and guided us to make some great choices. The appliances were delivered on the day and time that was conveinient for us. The couches however, will take up to 8 weeks. Not a problem. They delivered 2 couches as loaners until ours are ready. Incredible service! This is not your run of the mill furniture chain. You feel welcomed from the minute you walk in right up to the time they deliver your furniture. True professionals .I highly recomended you visit them before making a purchase elsewhere.
