4 1/2 stars really. 5 stars is perfection and no store is perfect. But I really like KGE. Better than Addison, really. Really good prices on their new capacitors ! Same price range as Digikey or Mouser. But if I need something same-day, KGE is where I go. Even if it's a pain to go through Lafontaine Tunnel to get there, lol.
Of course, they can’t compete on price with online stores but staff is nice and I cannot complain about the service. My only downside is opening hours and it wouldn’t be bad if it was like just closed on Sundays but they are always close at 6pm as well even on Thursdays. Maybe it makes sense for them from a profitability perspective but I work full time so I can only make it on Saturdays so that is a major inconvenient for me as a customer.
Good service.They ask good questions before selling to you. Even for a charger.
Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, I just brought in my device that did not have the right power supply, they were able to recommend me the right connector and a regulated power supply.
Not only did they had what I needed to get my AC running in this record heatwave but the lady at the entrance was so polite and helpful I want to find another part to buy there. This is the level of service every store should strive to offer.
With KGE I had such a formidable experience it warrants the time for me to post a 5-star review. I had an LED project for a recently renovated room and went to KGE to get technical counselling and buy parts. I was accompanied with expert advice over 2 visits, one to plan and pass my wires before construction and then on ordering the right parts to install the lighting setup strips, controller, transformer, parts. Up until then, the experience was already flawless. And then, once lit up I realized the strips were not spec’ed exactly like I had in mind I forgot to tell them, I went back to see what could be done about it. It’s then that KGE went above and beyond what any other retailer would’ve done to ensure I’m 100% happy with my project. They really knocked it off and through their customer-centric approach, they made sure I’d never go anywhere else for future electronic needs. Merci KGE!

Although they did not have everything that I was looking for, they did have most of it. However the assistance I received more than made up for the lack of specific missing items. I have to remember to check here more often before ordering items online.
Good product at a great price. The staff will help you find what you are looking for.
Good place to get common parts. They have a lot of equipment in stock, though you can usually find it cheaper online. Unfortunately, they don't have a list of in-stock ICs so it's always a shot in the dark when you need something like an Opamp. You'll need to prepare a list of opamps that will suit your needs and ask if they have any of them rather than asking if they have an Opamp with the specs you want.
