The delays they give to receive your furniture is not right. it always take much longer than they say it will. Don't trust the sleazy salesmen for the dates he gives you. we bought a couch and they said 1 month delivery. now its been back order and who knows when we will get it. I wont be returning to economax.
I had to wait months for my couch and ottoman. add in about 15 calls about 2 hours lost in being transferred, kept on hold and having to re-explain my situation to so many people. I finally get my delivery date set for the 2nd time because I was told a date that wasn't respected then the day I'm to receive my couch I get an email that stipulates that my ottoman is back ordered when I was told it was in stock then I have to repeat the numerous calls and run arounds to figure out when I can have it delivered, I was told a date my item would be in and that I needed to call back and I did, when doing so I was AGAIN told that it hasn't come in yet. In the end I had to physically go and pick it up myself, which is fine because in doing so I would save a wait of 5 business days. I get my parcel and once I open the box the ottoman was filled with rips and masking tape that was directly put on the leather material! 0 stars wouldn't even be sufficient! Quick to provide service when coming to taking your money, all the questions I had were answered, the second you leave the store NOTHING BUT A HEADACHE AND DAMAGED GOODS.
We went in and saw two bed sets we wanted to buy. Ready for purchase today. No sales reps even acknowledged us. They all stood together and talked. One girl came by to fix a bed sheet and left. Not even a hello.
I am writing this review to warn others, not to be bitter or unappreciative. I understand this is a difficult time for all people and business. After purchasing a few main appliances from here, I can confidently warn you to stay clear unless you are leaving this store with your items in hand. The items are not what I am unsatisfied about, but their service is one of the worst that I have ever experienced. I understand that they are not business as usual considering the pandemic, but they have zero empathy or professionalism. At first, they refused to deliver any essential appliances to me considering they were floor models - if the stores didn’t open then I would be without a fridge and stove until they do open. Economax told me to simply buy new ones at full price without including my already negotiated protection in the new items... then one item arrived rather damaged & I went to the store in person to take care of this. The store sales manager was rather helpful and offered an exchange for the exact same model since they had one on the floor again and I accepted even though I knew it was too good to be true with my experience with them. I didn’t hear anything for two weeks for the delivery, so I reach out once again and I was told that I did not accept an exchange, rather I accepted compensation? Which I am sure would be pennies from them nonetheless. With this being said, I had to speak to a few people but was finally told that they are not doing exchanges during the pandemic, which I completely understand but this could have been communicated to me during my conversation with the manager of sales, I am unsure of how she was not aware of this herself. So I am now awaiting for an unknown date for the exchange to take place. I must say, I appreciate all those working during a time like this. But Economax needs to also understand that this is a difficult time for their customers as well and must adapt to that. Rather than adding more stress.
I had purchased 5 major appliances from Economax back in Nov 2020. I was told that everything would be in stock for my move date at the end of Dec 2020, not to worry.I am currently still without a fridge. It's now 6 months and they refuse to offer any kind of compensation or even a loaner fridge for the interim. The replacement fridges they offered were not the measurements I required. It is impossible to get in touch with anyone! There is no direct number after purchase. After asking my salesperson Alexis Drouin to speak to management, not once did the manager,  Karine Baillencourt, reach out to me. I finally was able to get in touch with her today and basically she couldn't care less. I cancelled this order and got a refund! I have now purchased a second hand fridge. I took the pandemic into consideration and was very patient but their lack of professionalism and empathy is unacceptable! I'm completely shocked they are able to get away with doing this to customers. Please do not purchase anything from this store unless it is in stock! They will lie and tell you everything you want to hear. If you're looking to save some money, keep in mind their prices are cheap for a reason! I DO NOT recommend Economax in St-Hubert! They do not care about their customers after they make a sale. Save your money and energy and go anywhere else!
This place has excellent customer service after purchase. The actual store is big and has a lot of choices for low budget prices and as well as higher priced items. The quality is not always the best but with the high quality customer service it equals out. In store the clerks do not hound you to sell but could even be a little more present during your shopping stay.
I bought a fridge from your store in St-Hubert. Everything went fine until I got the delivery. I was expecting the delivery guys to pick up my old fridge for recycling. Then, surprise, one of the delivery guys told me that he was not going to do it as it was not included on the invoice. I had not been told about that from the salesman that I had to pay an additional fee for the pickup of the old fridge. I told him to wait until I get hold of the salesman at the store to pay the $30.00 fee. He said that he was not going to take it back, saying that he had no room in the truck. This is obviously not true as he had just unloaded my new fridge which obviously took up its space. He then left. When I called later at the store, I have been told by a salesman that they could not accept my c. card over the phone as I still wanted them to come back and pick it up.That if my card didn't work, as he is working on commission, he would be penalized. Despite my insistence that it was not my intention to commit a fraud, he refused to take my card number. I want to mention that I earlier called to speak directly the manager as the salesman with whom I had dealt with was off until Saturday. I was left on hold for 15 minutes. I just hung up. I think that it is very BAD PR that it was so easy to be able to pay you and get my fridge but so difficult to get any assistance on the other end. This would have never have happened if you had been honest and told me I would need to pay a fee for the pickup of the old fridge. This is not the way I consider to be good business. I will not do business with you in the future.
The customer service was one of the biggest turnoffs. For Black Friday, we went shopping at EconoMax for a potential TV. No one really came up to us to greet us or asked if we had any questions, although we ended up approaching a staff member and asked them questions on TVs. He honestly looked like he didn't care to be there and it seemed like we were bothering him or something. Overall, he seemed uninterested and annoyed at having to deal with customers, and the lack of motivation made us feel unwanted. On top of that, we were actually able to find a higher quality TV somewhere else for a cheaper price. Why pay for a smaller and lower quality TV for a higher price when you can go someone else that has better products and better customer service?
I have been in the store for 45min never saw a single salesman. Well actually a saw them and they saw me for sure but it was kind of hide and seek. I can't not understand why i didn't get any service. The worst part from me is that was any easy sales i was coming to buy a matress I new the model and the price. I didn't want to barging I just wanted to order ASAP and leave. Never seen a store that empty, this location really need more staff and they need a sales 101 training i guess....
Waited 2 months for a sofa that appears to have actually been used before we received it. Worst of all, they are unreachable. They only line you can get through to is the order desk. They have a web formula that you need to fill out to get a call back and I've been waiting 2 months and still no call back.
