We came for Dine Out 2023, and the food was amazing. Our table got oysters, sake with clams, ocean tartar, and a house salad for appetizers. The appetizer portions were big and the sake with clams and ocean tartar were incredibly delicious. We do wish they gave us more sauce with the oysters, as there were only a few drops of each sauce in the cups. We each got the mini donburi for our entrees, and the portions were perfect. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Overall we had a fantastic time and will definitely be coming back!
This is a new oyster spot in Richmond BC, all of their oysters are very fresh The salty and cheesy baked oysters are also simple yet elegant appetizer. The best oysters are never wrinkled or dried out, raw oysters should always be plated on a bed of shaved ice-and they should be served in their original shells. I love the presentation of the oyster platter and I’d totally come back for more.
Oyster was very fresh. Plated very well. The service was great, the waitress was friendly and patient introduced us to their menu. Highly recommend the mini donburi, you get to try a little bit of everything
Totally fun and hidden gem !! This place has a menu of out of this world oysters ! I got a Oyster shot which was amazing and such a new experience! The interior is so cute and very luxurious. I will def be back !
We ended up trying this place when one of our friends saw this place on TikTok : The food was superb but it’s on the pricy side. This is one of those places where you go as a special treat. For our group of 6, we paid about $600 ++. We had the private room and it had minimum cover of $400 if I remember right. As the restaurant name suggests, you come here for the oysters. We had the oyster platter $155 and BBQ oyster with special sauces $39 to start. The oyster platter I found the oysters on the small side and found the taste too delicate for my liking. The BBQ oysters on the other hand was really good, we ended up trying all the sauces: garlic, chili, durian, black bean, cheese and garlic. IMO chili was the best. I wish we ordered more of the BBQ with sauces than the platter. The other dishes were good too and can’t wait to go back to try their other dishes. Also, pay parking only in the complex.
The food was great. The service not so much. We arrived at the restaurant around 7:35PM. After spending 5-10 minutes deciding what to eat, we placed our orders by 7:45PM. Our food arrived extremely slowly, we watched as tables that showed up 20-30 minutes after us got their food first even though we had placed our order in advance. The first dish to arrive was the oysters which we received at 8:18PM. We waited another 25 minutes after receiving the oysters before the aburi sushi arrived. The mussels arrived another 20 minutes after the aburi sushi. Followed by another 20 minutes before the Wagyu fried rice arrived. Although the food was good, it definitely wasn't worth the long wait. We spent more time waiting than we did eating and the staff were rather dismissive towards us as they would make eye contact, and then walk away without coming to our table. This was definitely not the service I was expecting to get, especially considering the price of the food and the ambience of the restaurant.
New oyster themed restaurant in Richmond. Felt like a place you would find in downtown Vancouver. Nice place to catch up with friends. The food was good. Slightly more on the expensive side.
Fancy chic place, friendly staff but needs more training, good service for soft opening though, food is overall pricey, oysters in downtown are usually $30/12, but here it’s $40/12 after grand opening. My favorite dish is the sashimi skewer, new inventive idea. Although some cooking equipments are not in place so some dishes could not be made, but I do see a future for this restaurant, keep up the good work.
We enjoyed the food very much - the oysters were very fresh and the deep fried squid had a great batter. However, the service was slow and non-existent even though we were the only table; the one waitress seemed to have zero experience and didn’t even greet us when we came in. For a restaurant marketed to be upscale with downtown prices, we expected better service.
A lot of variety in the preparation of oysters. Honestly found everything super delicious! The oysters tasted fresh. My favorite is the raw oyster with foie gras, and the durian cheese bbq oyster. The reason for 3 stars is that 3 out of 7 in our group got diarrhea me included... and the only different thing we had was the uni and oyster chanwamushi. Which was also delicious.. Overall, the dinner itself was 4/5 stars good, but the aftermath... not very. I'm torn. Eat at your own risk.
