Oh Gee Wang Fatty Crab Pot

YUM we got the bc crab clay pot with beef and enoki mushrooms. Really good flavour profile , very unique and delicious. OBSESSED so yummy the atmosphere of the restaurant is super cute and bright and fun.Food: 5/5

Surprise combination of chicken feet and crab is delicious in their sauce. We added fatty beef and fish tofu! I thought the price reasonable? Have come back a couple times….the sauce is addictive! Pro tip! With the take out… heat it up again and add more stuff, spam, fish tofu, etc. There is so much callogen in the sauce from the chicken feet!

The food at this restaurant is considerably overpriced considering the portion size. We found it to be quite expensive. We specifically ordered a noodle dish with shrimp for our children, but unfortunately, it was served without any shrimp. When we brought this to the attention of the waiter, they simply went into the kitchen and hastily added 1-2 cooked shrimps to our child's bowl. Additionally, the noodle itself appeared to be made from instant noodles, giving it a cheap and unappetizing appearance. Furthermore, the crab dish we ordered was not fresh and had not been properly washed and cleaned prior to cooking. While this restaurant excels at social media marketing, we found that the quality and quantity of their food did not live up to their online reputation. Considering our experience, we have no intention of returning to this establishment and cannot recommend it to others.

Honestly I didn't expect much but it's surprisingly good. I was wary of the good reviews and the photos didn't look that appetizing. But, I'm so glad I gave it a chance. The place is located on the 2nd floor so be careful going up the parking lot ramp. You can take the elevator. There are two sizes of the crab pot and I ordered the smaller size which is good for 1-2 persons. Even though you get the full crab shell, you get half of a crab. My guess is that for the larger portion you get the full crab. The soup is dark and delicious but I believe most of the flavor is from the chicken feet. You can barely taste the crab flavor in the soup itself. It's not a minus but don't expect a seafood flavor soup base. The crab is delicious and fresh. I wasn't expecting how fresh the crab was so that's a definite plus. The chicken feet are delicious and you can tell they've been stewed for a long time, which is a good thing. Overall I'd say it's really really good. You also get potatoes, tofu and rice cakes and all of them taste great. The food came out quickly and I was told that the people working there also enjoy the pot so don't worry about the restaurant serving you food they won't touch themselves. Overall it's a really positive experience. Oh the place is actually tiny but luckily it wasn't crowded when I went late last night. Btw don't expect Sichuan style spicy soup so this is NOT the Sichuan spicy crab pot. However I'd suggest you give it a try because it is delicious. It's a typical Chinese service so don't expect too much.

I got the Small BC Crab Clay Pot at Regular Spice level from this restaurant recently. Although not described in the dish, it came with potatoes, rice cake, chicken feet, and tofu in addition to the crab. The overall amount of food was definitely enough for 2-3 people. The overall flavour was really good as well and I think the dish would be better if I included other add-ons such as lamb. Now in terms of each item, the crab was nicely cooked and fresh, but it was smaller and less meaty than expected. I am also not a big fan of chicken feet so I was a bit surprised that the dish doesn’t mention it, especially given how much they gave. The tofu, potatoes, and rice cake were all really good as it soaked up the flavour from the soup base.

Good place for spicy crab and other appy. However, on a summer day… it’s very hot inside, not very ideal to have spicy food in hot environment.Food: 4/5

Interesting combination of ingredients in the crab pot. We had a lot of chicken feet in ours and it felt a little more like chicken feet pot than crab pot. The chicken feet, rice cake, tofu, potatoes were really good with the sauce. We had some cucumbers on the side. A bit overpriced for what it is but it was delicious. Customizable spice level was a good idea. Great service!

Food is super tasty. Love the crab pot so much. Fried chicken bones tastes like what I had back in China. Cleanly packed. Dish portion is big. Be aware of ordering dishes. Service and attitudes are super good. They were super nice. This is the major reason that makes me want to write a review.

Very small restaurant but with very delicious chicken feet pot. The side dishes were amazing as well! The pot was very well cooked, super tender and soft, the sauce was great with rice. Portion was perfect, we finished everything. The price was also reasonable! Worth coming again!Food: 5/5

Really liked the clams. The crab pot taste was a bit too heavy and the shells were hard to eat even with the utensils they provided. If would be better if they fried the shells first so they are softer.
