Super cute place! Went for brunch at 11:30am and surprisingly it wasn’t even busy. Service was very friendly and accommodating. He explained the menu and mentioned that the owner owns his own fishing company so all his product is fresh. Food was quick and nice portions. Flavour was really good!! Got the chicken and waffles surprisingly the chicken was moist and flavourful, seafood melt Omgggg must get!!! Packed with flavour and seafood, and mini pancakes for dessert. Atmosphere was chic and modern
What a wonderful dining experience at Little Karp with my girlfriends! I loved the west coast vibe as soon as I entered. I appreciate they have a basket to put our purses under our seats. Each dish were tasty and beautiful plating. They use seasonal ingredients highlighting seafood, fruit and vegetables. Some highlights: fermented soybean curd clam chowder - My friend wasn't sure what to expect but she was surprised it was super delicious! I will try this next time east & west butter with sourdough - two butters to try: black bean and tarragon garlic smoked black cod en papillote - I thoroughly enjoyed this entree. Perfectly cooked with savoury house made seafood sauce. So many dishes to try for next time!
From the design and taste of the cocktails, to each dish, they were all fantastic. The 7 day aged steak was amazing, as well as black cod, lobster risotto. Even the salad was delicious and I don't normally enjoy salads. The service was attentive and they were able to describe the dishes in English and Chinese for my mother and father in law that don't speak english. Really classy west coast restaurant in Richmond and we need more of this in this city!! I believe they are owned by the same company or have close relations with a seafood distributing company so their seafood is EXTREMELY fresh you can taste the difference!!
Our group of 5 was visiting from Toronto and we had a splendid time here. The owners were very genuine and kind. The service was spectacular and they attended to us regularly throughout the night. The food quality was great and the atmosphere was quite cozy! Would definitely recommend my friends and family back home to come here if they visit Vancouver!
At Little Karp, we had one of our best ever dining experiences in Canada! Food was tasty with lots of diversity, flair and creativity as well as fresh ingredients. Wine pairings were also spot on! 5 star hospitality and we had great conversations with GM and co-founder Sam. He has definitely brought his Michelin star experience with him to Little Karp. Interior design and decorations are amazing too. We will are definitely going back soon! Little Karp has definitely upped the fine dining game and food scene in Richmond and Metro Vancouver.
Visited Little Karp for brunch and what a hidden gem! The decor was so cute. We loved everything we ordered. The chicken waffles were delicious and crunchy. The crab and waffle was also a highlight. They are also toddler friendly and provided utensils to our little one bonus points!. All in all we can’t wait to be back to try their dinner :.
We had an amazing dining experience at Little Karp to celebrate our anniversary. They were able to squeeze us in last minute due to another restaurant cancelling on us and we were so glad it worked out that way. The restaurant is owned by Sam and his wife. Both of them and the entire staff were just wonderful. The food was excellent and I highly recommend the Venison Tartare and the Prime Beef striploin. Plenty of parking at the back of the restaurant as well. Will definitely be visiting again.
We enjoyed an afternoon poking around in the Aberdeen Center to work up an appetite before we tried out the Little Karp Seafood Restaurant in Richmond. We were celebrating our 30 something wedding anniversary and we wanted to try this new restaurant, which we heard was pretty good! It is a fusion of western dishes with a hint of Asia mixed in. The decor is minimalist except for the beautiful bright orange glowing "Karp" that float above your head. It was great! Even the bread was outstanding. We started with 20% whole grain sourdough with a crisp but not tough crust served with two types of butter: fermented black bean butter and tarragon-garlic butter. We would come back just for the bread. The ceviche was fresh, authentic, and piquant and of the highest quality. The Caprese salad was delicious with a unique spin on the creamy peeled burrata and roasted tomatoes, and the Salt Spring Island olive oil was a delicious high-end touch. The lightly smoked sable fish was amazing, although we could skip the okra that was in the bed of vegetables under the fish. The geoduck Thai curry soup would make any Thai restaurant proud. Actually, not many restaurants that we have tired in the past have had soup this good! We enjoyed the venison tartare touched with Yuzu Kosho, a relatively new flavour that lent a fresh, cutting, burst to the rich venison. The grilled strip loin aged in koji for 7 days was delicious, particularly with the koji au jus. The lobster risotto was masterfully done with generous chunks of Nova Scotia lobster. By that point, I was quite full but once I tasted the risotto, it seemed to disappear quite quickly! We finished with the Sweet rice wine sorbet with Osmanthus syrup, pomegranate tapioca, and crispy black sesame rose petal mixture. The wine list is not extensive but the selection is well curated and everything that you need is there. We chatted with the owners, Fanfan and Sam, who were both on the floor working very hard. They know their product and you can tell that they are excited about their business and the flavours they are creating. We can see this restaurant really going places! Parking: lots of parking
Dishes were all well presented in my taste menu dinner. Almost all were tasty and pretty unique in cooking. Only the scallop dish was a bit overcooked and was spicy hot. Modern settings and comfortable environment.Food: 4/5
I absolutely loved the cozy and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. The decor was simple yet elegant, and it really made me feel like I was in Northern Europe. The food was so flavourful, unique, and absolutely delicious! The service was top-notch and the staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. What a delightful dining experience!
