Having visited numerous McDonald's locations throughout Ottawa, I can confidently say that the St Laurent Boulevard branch is one of the worst. The restaurant is often filthy, with the men's washrooms in particularly disgusting condition—urine on the floor is a common sight. The counter by the drinks area is patched up with duct tape to cover holes where items once were, giving an unappealing look.nnThe parking lot adds to the frustration, being challenging to navigate and not well-maintained.nnMy recent visit only added to my dissatisfaction. My sandwich was poorly made, with sauce all over the exterior of the bun and an excessive amount inside. It was messy and unappetizing.nnThe restaurant desperately needs a facelift and thorough cleaning. This raises serious concerns about hygiene in the kitchen. If the eating area and washrooms are this dirty, when was the kitchen last cleaned? Are employees washing their hands properly? It’s concerning to think about what might be happening behind the scenes that we aren’t seeing. This location needs significant improvements to meet basic cleanliness and hygiene standards.nnI have attached a pic of the excess sauce form my Spicy Grilled Chicken… just nasty!
There was a long straight gray hair in my wrap! Absolutely disgusting. If my wrap didn’t open while I was trying to get it out of the wrapper, I would have eaten someone’s disgusting shedded gray hair. Threw the whole thing in the garbage because if they let hair into the food, I dont know what else they put in there.
Customer service is horrible no one responds at the drive through also they said they cant serve ice cream and milkshakes , at the end we found out he drinking chocolate milkshake when we ask why he said there’s less employees so I y’all suggest to hire more people who likes doing their Job in the right way not to work couple dollars for free
The raptor chicken poutine is quite good. Hope they keep this on their menu
Definitely do not recommend this McDonald’s location. This is the only location in all of Ottawa that charges extra on the taxes 13% vs the 8%. Make sure to check your receipts as most likely you are overcharged on the tax portion. I buy a happy meal everyday and just last Fri, Nov 15, 2024, I decided to stop by this location as in the area and after paying, I noticed on my receipt that I was over charged on the HST portion. I did speak with the person that took my order most likely not the manager or shift supervisor while waiting for my order, but they could not do anything or did not even bother to have someone reach out to me afterwards. I did their customer satisfaction survey immediately and truly they do not care as no response even though I had requested a follow-up. Beware and check your receipts. This is the last time I will visit this location and do not recommend this location to anyone. There seems to be a trend of negative reviews and I should have clued in.
