Mayfair Clubs - Lakeshore

Mayfair Lakeshore is hands-down one of the best clubs in the city. The facility itself is amazing—always clean, modern, and high-energy. I especially love the spa services; it’s the perfect way to unwind after a workout. They’ve also clearly put a lot of thought into the change rooms, which are spacious, upscale, and always well-maintained. It feels more like a luxury retreat than just a gym. Highly recommend joining if you’re looking for a premium experience!

Clean facility, nice change rooms but you have to bring your own lock. The sauna is really good it gets very hot. The tennis courts are also premium. The workout equipment is nice.

Held my child’s birthday pool party at this facility. Room + pool was $400 and Food for 20 children were $450. The food was restaurant quality. There was no one to escalate concerns to except for the Restaurant Manager, who I found condescending and impertinent. Also, since he did not have anything to do with the birthday party, there really was no one around to assist. We were not informed of the exact pool time availability as such, we only were left with 45 minutes of our hour allotted time. We’re dumped into the dismal child care space. There were no chairs or tables set up in the room and was filled with toys for infants and toddlers. Appreciated the safe-conscious lifeguards. Appreciated Winnie who took our food orders. Appreciated the young ones that assisted us. We met with the membership manager a couple of weeks before and the birthday party was supposed to be my basis to enroll. Based on my experience, we decided not to. All in all, the kids had fun and that’s all that matters

Very inflexible fitness club and poor customer service - I joined the gym for 1.5 months and barely used it. I found the gym was not a good fit for me personally and sent a polite email to see if I could cancel - I was informed that they would not reimburse the hefty initiation fee and that they would ALSO charge me for the full year! I have been a member of various gyms and boutique studios and have never had to pay a full year cancellation fee in addition to a $1K+ initiation fee for 1.5 months of limited gym use. I would NOT recommend Mayfair as they don’t put the customer first - avoid at all costs!

I recently visited Mayfair Club as a guest with a friend who is a member. Honestly, I found the facilities to be quite average considering the very high prices they charge. Compared to other clubs in the city, the atmosphere wasn’t as welcoming, and the staff were noticeably less friendly and helpful. In particular, my interaction with Darlene stood out in a negative way—she was slightly rude and condescending, which really took away from the experience maybe it’s because I was a guest??nnGiven the expensive fees, I wouldn’t recommend joining. There are better options out there that offer more value, better service, and a more professional environment.
