Manjaks has one of the best, most renowned MAG coaches in the country, Zhaohui Huang. He has had several of his boys go on to obtain NCAA scholarships and become members of the Canadian National Team. We are fortunate to have him guiding our young men. The administration staff is also top notch and is very good at communicating news especially during the pandemic.
Update: This used to be a great club. However, since about a year ago, things started to change. Good coaches left, administration became chaotic, staff became rude. After two years of driving all the way from Thornhill, we left and never went back. This is an amazing place. I took my toddler to 5 different gymnastics classes in Richmond Hill, Vaughan, and North York. None were nearly as good as Manjak. We travel one hour each way to and from the club. It is definitely worth it.
Our kids have been training here for 2 years now. We discovered that adults can use the gym too. Every weekend we try to spend a few hours training and practicing our parkour moves. Instructors are very professional and friendly. We love this place because it enhances our family bonding.
I wish we had come here sooner! Every interaction we've had from the staff at registration to the coaches on the floor has been positive. Parents registering their children for one specific "genre" of activity should be aware that there are athletes from all walks of life who come here to train with some amazing coaches. In some cases athletes may be wearing differing attire but I personally haven't witnesses anything that I would deem inappropriate for the sport. Whether you're background is in tumbling, dance, cheer or something else entirely, you can find a program suited to your needs. Private lessons to improve or learn specific skills are also a great option at this gym and there is a great team of talented male and female coaches.
Bad experience MY NINE 9 YRARS OLD BROKE HER LEG WHEN SHE WAS AT SUMMER CAMP AND NO BODY GIVE ME A CALL TO COME SHE HAVE STAY FOR ONE HOUR ON THE FLOOR I COME TO PICK UP HER ON TIME AND I SURPRISED SHE WAS ON THE FLOOR CAN’T MOVE AND CRYED FROM THE PEN WE END UP IN THE EMERGENCY WITH BROKEN LEG AND CASTE FOR 6 weeks AND NON IN THIS GYM GIVE ME A CALL TO ASK ABOUT HER THEY CALL ONLY TO COLLECT PAYMENT. NOT RECOMMENDED
My daughter attended classes. She fell down and broke her arm. Unfortunately no one called to know how she is doing. They refused to refund the remaining money and said they will transfer it to my account for future activities. Frankly speaking I will never go back again. Not recommended at all.
I'm not keen on allowing kids to train without a shirt on. It's unhygienic and looks unprofessional. This is our third class and my daughter is having fun, but I'm not convinced this is where you train if you're serious about gymnastics. However, if I change my opinion I'll adjust my rating.
An excellent facility and probably good for competitive gymnastics, but really bad for young kids in recreational programs. Uninspired and bored coaches and programs not challenging enough for kids to develop their skills.
Reception when I was enrolling my child was to firm, way to serious and down right mean. The instructor we were given was unprofessional and in la la land.
They are really professional!
