They've always treated me well. The store is well stocked with all sorts of gear. The rentals have treated me very well too. I once rented a digital mixer for a week but I didn't realize it was a bad unit until it the weekend. Unfortunately I couldn't exchange it - I was out of town. It worked, but the mixer locked up on me. At least the sound didn't cut out and die. When it was time for me to return it, I let them know it was a bad unit. They comped the rental of the unit with no hesitation! And they apologized for it too.

Extortion artists with a finesse for casting doubt and confusion among what they must consider to be an ignorant and clueless customer base. Dropped an acoustic guitar in to have an under saddle pickup installed. Was quoted $65-90 on the phone. Upon arrival, a huge deal made over the fact that a small square hole had to be cut in the side (a job which after consulting with professionals, I was informed would take 10-15 minutes Max) and told the price would be $120. Received a call from the repair guy later that day saying the job was finished and would be $165 after tax. Furious , I inquired as to where the extra cost came in, he told me that he charged a minutely rate if $1.20 for any extra work after the $65 standard rate to install the pickup (the hole in the side). I then found out he calculated this by taking the total time of the job (70+ minutes) and multiplied by 1.20 and added this to the pre-discussed $65 charge. After I argued my point, and he realized he had been caught out, he agreed to 120 before tax, so I went to collect the instrument, and he had not even finished the job! He had excluded shaving the saddle down to fit the pickup, a part of the job that ANY guitar tech will agree is inclusive in the installation. To add insult to injury, he had the nerve to offer to do this "additional work" for a guitar set up fee! Appalled at the level of blatant extortion going on here, corporate greed obviously has won. I will never give my custom to this business again, and will highly dissuade other musicians from doing so. Shun this brutal behaviour!

INCREDIBLE service. Thank you to Mark (and Spencer at the Brampton store—yes, these folks will help you from 3 times zones away if they can!) who helped source the very last one of an out-of-production tweeter for my studio monitors. This is an impossible to find part, nothing's available at the factory, Craigslist, eBay, Amazon, anywhere. Called Mark yesterday to find a replacement for the punched-in silk dome on my YSM1P, model number TWT0013. Stock was showing zeroes across the board, as expected. But Mark took a closer look and discovered that stock was showing -1 at one store while showing +1 at Brampton, so it looked like a zero in the total. Anyone else might have probably thought "nope, nothing in stock". That extra due diligence paid off, as anyone who has ever dealt with Mark will attest to. Anyway, I called Brampton when they opened at 7AM this morning and talked to Spencer who found it right away. They're transferring it now and I couldn't be more pleased, it'll resuscitate a set of monitors I thought were destined for the parts bin. Thank you guys, I am a customer for life.
