Good luck if you ever need to return anything.nEspecially if from another “company store”.nMany common items are not carried in NV store so waste of time trying to return and get your money back. Huge time suck. Will not shop here…would rather drive a little further and go somewhere that understands and cares a little about customer service
In the last two months have had two bad dealings with Rona at Park and Tilford in North Vancuver. The first one was early October 2024. My wife and I went in to buy a new freezer. We found one bought and paid for it. When we got home we got a call saying they did not have it and tried to upsale us. We cancled the order. Then on Nov.3,2024 I went back to the same Rona looking for a new dishwasher. Once again found one, bought and paid for it including delivery, installation, and removal of the old one. The delivery date was set for Oct.9,2024. On Oct.8 I received a call from Rona to reschedule. I told the person that I would not reschedule as the installers were all ready booked and paid for, as well as I had booked the 9th off of work to be home for the delivery. I was told our dishwasher was still in Calgary and it was impossible for the delivery. I responded that it is not my fault and they need to fix this. I was then told if I didn't like that I could talk to the manager. I said fine put your manager on. I was promptly disconnected. I tried calling back to there customer service 28 times. Of those 28 times the phone was answered 5 times. Of those 5 times three were to the appliance department which were not answered. One was to the store manager where I left a message. After about 2 hours I tried again asking not to be transfered but to have the store manager paged, after several minutes the phone was again disconnected. Finally I was so frustrated I drove down to the store. Once there I asked customer service for the store manager. About 5 minutes later the customer service rep comes back and tells me the store manager is on a conferrence call. A few minutes later a floor manager appraoches me to ask about my problem. I explain everything to her. Her reply was I should email head office. I asked for the order to be cancelled and our money refunded. She agreed but was very indifferent, did nothing to try and remedy the problem and make a customer happy. As for the stoe manager it seemed to me he just wanted to avoid the whole situation. And has not even returned my call. To me he is a lousy manager and a coward to hide in office and let his employees deal with the problems he should be. I will never shop or step foot in Rona again. And they got a one star rating only because I could not give them zero. To follow up I did call head office and explained everything again. I was told they would look into the matter and I should hear back from the store manager in about 24 hours. Needless to say that never happened and it is now Dec.3,2024. Way to go Rona!!!!
I made the mistake of purchasing a brand new LG gas range from Rona in late December 2023znI used it three times when it caught fire and could have burned down my brand new condonI did contact Rona and they wanted nothing to do with my problem whatsoever.nThey just told me it was not their problem and to contact LG.nLG six weeks later have done nothing.nLesson one I will never again deal with RonanLesson Two I would not personally ever purchase an LG stove because one that caught fire in my home
I go to this Rona often due to convenience of location but they have a lot of inventory issues. Probably about 50% of the times I go there they sell what I am looking for but it is just not in stock. Also, they are very stingy about their return policy. I was rejected for a return on a defective tool and had to argue it and show them their own return policy to get it accepted.
If I could give less stars I would. The lumber yard closes at 6pm..... On top of that they have awful selection and stock is always out. I went to a different Rona and I was blown away by how much better it was. Please do better?
