Good selection of past-season items at discounted prices. The store is well-organized and clean, with helpful and knowledgeable staff who can assist in finding the right fit or explaining product differences.nnThe discounts vary — some items are great deals, others only slightly reduced. It can get busy on weekends, so weekdays are better for browsing.nnPlease note that everything is final sales and there's no exchange or return
It is definitely a must-see store to visit when you are in North Vancouver, only that the sizes available in general are scarce, but it is worth the look without a doubt
The manager's management skills were extremely poor, and the service was incredibly unprofessional. How can such a large company like Arc'teryx have such incompetent manager? The company can't even train a manager properly.nnThis is what happened. A customer wouldn't let me touch the products on the shelf which she wasn't holding, claiming they were hers, and started swearing. I said I was taking items from the shelf, not hers, but she continued swearing at me, with her son joining in. The manager came over and told me to leave the store because my voice was louder than the other person's. I said this wasn't fair. He didn't even understand what had happened. I believe he discriminated against me. He told me that talking to me was a waste of time. He told me to leave, while the person swearing continued shopping happily the mother and son were swearing at me together. The manager told me to leave, but he didn't even know who the other person was what they looked like. I was outside in freezing temperatures for two hours because my daughter was still shopping inside. We had already been outside freezing for an hour and a half before we went into the store. This was an extremely unplesant and horrible experience. Arc'teryx sells so much very expensive clothing everyday, but they cannot even train a proper and professional manager??
Decided to check this place out on a recent trip and left poorer… but happy. No regrets just a lighter wallet.nnParking: Gets packed on weekdays, probably thanks to the office crowd nearby. Come early or risk circling like a vulture.nnOfferings: Solid range with genuinely good discounts. But not everything is on sale, so keep your head. I almost walked out with a neck gaiter in blinding orange at full price when better colours were sitting pretty elsewhere. Rookie mistake narrowly avoided!!nnPeople: Jonathan and Carter are absolute gems - fast, friendly, and know their stuff inside out. Can’t say the same for everyone though; a couple of staff “checked” on things and then just disappeared into the void. There was also a tall East Asian? guy - pretty sure his name was Sean - who was great too. Between the three of them, they somehow talked me into dropping over two grand on full gear. Dangerous combo, those three.nnQueue: The scalper rumours? True. Weekends are chaos. I had to queue ~30 minutes even though I showed up just 10 minutes after opening.nnPro tip: New stock tends to drop on weekdays, and they pace it out for weekends. Go midweek if you can to keep your sanity.nnOther things to note: No washroom in-store. Discounted items are non-refundable.
Nice store. Prices on some items are good. The security guard is in your face. Just something that is annoying. Maybe there is a purpose for that obviously.
