MEC North Vancouver

A bit disappointed with their lack of customer service. Went there last week, I wanted to pay for a product and two cashiers saw me standing waiting and they kept chatting for a few minutes until I stopped them because I was in a hurry to pay to leave. And sometimes I would have trouble finding a product for 10-15 minutes and couldn’t find anyone to help. Though This location has ample parking and is a lot less busy then the Cambie one that’s why I liked coming here in the first place.

Good store for buying outdoor gear. The store has clothing, bikes, camping supplies, protein snacks, rock climbing gear, canoes, and etc. It’s a one stop shop if you’re very into outdoor adventures. The interior is spacious with lots of room to move around and check out their products. Price is a bit high but quality is good for the products. Ample parking spaces available.

Good stuff but awful customer service. I picked two items, one padded bicycle short and one bike bell. Both wrong tagging!!!! Had to go back to the shelf with the cashier but she just said sorry and returned the bell. Matched the short price though as tag was attached.

Day one of camping on our 3+ month overseas trip and my relatively new MEC camping pillow suddenly no longer holds air:nnDay two and my camp mat blew…. something on the inside. So I have a giant bump where I don’t prefer a built-in pillow lol. Not impressed with the manufacturing quality of my recent “upgrade” purchases.

Great service! I recently purchased a bike for my dad and the bike understandably had some minor issues, but the staff at MEC North Van were amazing. I wish I could remember their names, but all the 3 gentlemen that assisted us were kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Even other employees would smile as they walked by us.
