MEC North Vancouver

I have had the pleasure of dealing with Alex and Ana at the North Vancouver location of MEC. Given the recent holiday season I had 4 gift cards to pay with which meant I could not reserve the two items I wanted online. So I called the store and Ana was so kind and helpful reserving my items with such ease and kindness. I was already so impressed and excited to pickup my raincoat and sleeping bag and then I met the Alex at the till- such a personable and kind lad he is! From start to finish, exceptional service and I commend Ana and Alex for their service!

I’ve visited this location many times, and usually I just grab what I need and go, as no assistance is typically offered—though that’s fine by me. However, my most recent experience was a decent one, especially considering it was for one of my biggest purchases - a gravel bike.nnI was really excited and asked this store to hold the bike for me, which they did without hesitation. When I mentioned that the price on the MEC website was even lower, the manager and associate price matched it with no issues at all, which honestly made my day.nnThe bike mechanic might not come from a high end bike shop, but he showed enough genuine care when setting up my bike, and it felt like he took some effort to get everything just right.nnOverall, it turned into a pleasant bike purchasing experience, and I left feeling satisfied with both the bike and the service. A solid 4 star.

Dropped in for some slippers and like at Park Royal they only had four pairs on the rack. The staff were super nice and the store was nice and clean for such a busy time. Every house should have water tablets and that is what I bought as stocking stuffers

A bit disappointed with their lack of customer service. Went there last week, I wanted to pay for a product and two cashiers saw me standing waiting and they kept chatting for a few minutes until I stopped them because I was in a hurry to pay to leave. And sometimes I would have trouble finding a product for 10-15 minutes and couldn’t find anyone to help. Though This location has ample parking and is a lot less busy then the Cambie one that’s why I liked coming here in the first place.

Good store for buying outdoor gear. The store has clothing, bikes, camping supplies, protein snacks, rock climbing gear, canoes, and etc. It’s a one stop shop if you’re very into outdoor adventures. The interior is spacious with lots of room to move around and check out their products. Price is a bit high but quality is good for the products. Ample parking spaces available.
