Service: Excellent Product: Meh We ordered a birthday cake blackberry bliss. The service and ease of ordering was fantastic! The cake itself was very pretty, decorated very nicely but was disappointingly bad. It was not flavourful at all and super dry. A big bummer as I shelled out more that a grocery store cake since we couldn't throw a party Covid to have something 'Fancy'.

Have had a few events now with Lighthouse cupcakes and different cakes and they were absolutely delicious every time! Everyone loved them and I wouldn’t go anywhere else for custom birthday cakes. The staff are awesome and you can tell its made with love. Highly recommend!

I ordered the 10inch round white chocolate/raspberry. Ordering experience was good, the cake was ready on the time I needed it. the cake was delicious, creamy white chocolate raspberry filling awesome. The top of the cake was very appealing with the white chocolate shavings. I would go to them again for other special occasion cakes.

If you want pastry in Victoria BC this is the place. I live in Eastern Ontario and have ordered birthday cakes by phone on 3 separate occasions for relatives in Victoria. Nobody has ever been disappointed. The service is great.

My office buys all of our cakes from here. The raspberry mousse cake is phenomenal. Really, every cake I've had from them is top notch. Great work!

Absolutely amazing cakes and super friendly staff

Disappointing. It’s always exciting to find places that will accommodate common food allergies, so being able to order a df gf egg-free cake is so great… in theory. It’s understandable that sometimes substitutions will give these products a different flavour or texture. But why make & sell them if you’re not going to make them look or taste good? I ordered a vegan/gf chocolate raspberry 1/4 slab on a Wednesday for Saturday pickup. I said it was a galaxy themed cake, so I’d love purple/blue/black with gold and stars/constellations. Was told the cake couldn’t be custom and the frosting couldn’t be coloured ??, but they could add some stars and gold sparkle/sprinkles. I was hesitant because this was for an adult, not a child, so I was hoping for something attractive & contemporary. I was reassured it would look appropriate. The cake I picked up was a brown lumpy brick with uneven edges, no trim or finish, with a handful of misshapen purple and blue fondant stars made from a star punch and some dull gold fondant dots. The happy birthday message was written in thin white icing and looked out of place and gross. At first I thought they’d omitted the raspberry as the corner piece had no obvious jam in the layers… but no, it was just applied so unevenly that some pieces had hardly any raspberry. This was a shame, as the raspberry jam went a long way in helping out the flavour & texture of the otherwise dry, overbaked, cardboard-flavoured cake with sections that were weirdly dense and gummy. Worst of all was the fondant, when one of the small stars made it into a bite I took, I spat it out because I thought there was something wrong. I don’t normally eat fondant, but this tiny piece was unbelievably gross, with a strong taste of “play-doh” one of my guests made that comment. It was clear that no care or creative design went into any aspect of this cake. It looked homemade and tasted worse, and I’ve seen much prettier cakes come out of a grocery store bakery. It was embarrassing to serve, and the majority of guests found it inedible. I’m sad to have wasted my money. 2 stars for adequate customer service, having the cake ready on time, and the chocolate frosting tasting good but unable to redeem the cake in general.

I didn't even get to try anything here because they weren't open. Totally disappointed after walking there almost a 1 hour walk to see a note saying closed from "August 7 to August 23" because of their wedding. You can have a wedding and close but communicate it on your social media! I was really excited to come to this bakery. I searched up a lot of bakeries in Langford/Victoria and this is the one I chose. I had everything picked out. Nowhere did it say closed for the time. I don't know when and if I'm coming back. Empty handed.

Friendly fast service, got the 6" raspberry decadence cake which was incredible. Vanilla cake, fresh ripe raspberries and a white chocolate mousse. Was trying to figure out the next celebration in the family so we can have it again asap! Highly recommend

The first cake I ever bought from lighthouse was one of their strawberry cakes, it was soo good! This was about a year ago Since then I have bought a handful of different cakes and have been steadily more and more disappointed with the quality.. Honestly, other then the first cake strawberry the taste/quality of the cakes are no different then the ones you can buy at the grocery store, except for the price! Yikes Also most of the cakes have had cosmetic issues, such as missing patches of icing, making them looking like a rush job.. Today I bought another strawberry cake and they misspelled my grandma's name despite me spelling it out twice and rewriting it. Did not realise till I got home. The cake itself was very disappointing, and nothing like the cake I had received a year ago.. it was poorly iced , had very little actual strawberry and as poorly balanced in taste. Hardly worthy of the tittle of "strawberry decadence" Your only job is to make cakes, is it too much to ask that you take a bit of pride in your work? Seriously do better.
