Les Faux Bourgeois

Food was good, service could have been better. Loved our server tho, he was fantastic. Second time being there, not sure if there will be a third. Made reservations but waited almost an hour to be seated. Was thanked for waiting, but would have appreciated an explanation before I brought it up.

Been here twice now about a year apart. Food is great although the escargot could use a bit more salt. But the roasted duck special, seared scallops in cheese were delicious! Wine is always pleasant and great value there. Our server both times were very attentive. This place does get packed in shortly 15 minutes after opening so make sure you have reservations!

Great atmosphere, no blasting music, we could carry on a conversation and not have to raise our voices. Excellent service attentive but not intrusive. Food was wonderful lovely selection.

You won't find anywhere else in Vancouver what this place offers. Perfect acidity throughout, complementing the heavy punch from meat. Texture of vegetables are appropriate and unique to each dish, creating sophisticated combinations of savoury flavours. It has been awhile since I had a dish that is artistic and dominating. Cannot wait to discover more.

Love going to this place as there aren't many decent French restaurants in this area. The tarte flambée is very good and something we often order. The specials are a wonderful addition to their regular menu and most recently I had an excellent duck breast. Full of flavour! Whereas the cod from their regular menu was not as impressive as the duck.
