We purchased a gas range (house came with electric) and were told it would be 2 maybe 3 weeks for it to come in. No biggie. We were excited.
I called at 4 weeks wondering if they were calling our old number as they may not have updated our info when we purchased. I was told "Oh no, that's a special order item, it usually takes 4-6 weeks, we expect it will be in sometime either this week or next. Alright. Kinda pissed that we were misinformed.
5 1/2 weeks after we order they deliver THE WRONG ONE. No, it's not just a mix up with someone else's stove on the truck. They seem to have possibly mislabeled the boxes at the warehouse and have to search through every stove box to find ours and re-deliver but it could take them a couple days to even find it! I was also told it could be on back order, that the manufacturer mislabeled the boxes... etc. About three different stories.
Now they say it might be 2-3 MORE weeks! A 2-3 week delivery date has turned into a 6-8 week... RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS, when we're hosting our family Christmas and I have Christmas baking to do.
When asking for restitution for all the issues we've had along the way they gave us a slap in the face, left us for 4 days without a stove top or oven- with a small child at our home.
They say they have no responsibility, it's the manufacturers fault. (How am I supposed to prove otherwise)
However do they not require their employees to check what they have received at the warehouse is what their customer ordered before they send it out to be delivered? This should've been caught before the wrong stove arrived at my home.

Our experience was very positive. We were shopping for a power lift recliner for my brother who was moving into long term care. We did compare shop and ended up buying at Leon's after stopping by and being handled so well by J&L ... two sales associates willing to spend time with us as we pondered the best option for my brother. No charge delivery in addition to the five year warranty so graciously provided by Leon's.
Thank you to the fine folk who made our decision to buy at Leon's the right one.
