Canadian Tire

Thank you to the Service Manager at the car centre who went out of his way to fix a minor issue when I had my snow tires put on. The professionalism, courtesy and customer service were beyond reproach. Nice to see integrity at work! Canadian Tire Sarnia made a wise choice when they hired him this year!

I've given up on this store. Weekly flyer items are either not in stock, substituted with a similar but inferior product, or hidden somewhere with NO staff who will help. With TSC, Princess Auto, Loews and Home Depot now in town, I don't need the agravation of this "bait and switch" center.

Terrible Terrible Terrible service today...from 3 different staff members...went in to get my husband's Christmas gift today...I first tried to find the item on my own I couldn't find it. So after 5 minutes of walking around trying to find someone I finally found a staff member and showed her the flyer and asked if the item was available...was told " I don't work in this department I work over in kitchen" quite snidly, and as she walked away she radioed to automotive " isle to help customer" did anyone ever come? NOPE!!!! So I walked over to automotive and the young man behind the desk in the red shirt was busy with a customer so I seen an older gentleman in a black shirt working on putting merchandise on the shelf. I approached him and said excuse me and I was ignored...I turned my back to him because now I was angry...after about a minute he asked can I help You?.I showed him my flyer and what I was looking for...and he said" they are in isle 6" I said " I looked and can't find them" he finally went to the computer and looked them up...he said " they had 3 , two sold and they can't find the 3 rd one" So he said I could have a raincheck...I said " great" but I had to go to customer service desk and that staff member was a real joy...Not!! I was told to tell I need a rain check...that 2 sold and the 3rd the couldn't find...so I relayed that message...she barely loomed at me...asked my name and while I spelt it to her she spelt it wrong...asked my number and handed me the slip...I asked " do you know when they will be in?" She said she had no idea and when I was walking away she decided to check the computer and said " the 19th" I said thanks and she mumbled something at me. Maybe she said your welcome....not sure since she didn't look at me once....stay home and let someone else work that might treat customers with respect...Hi how are You, can I help you today...look at me, acknowledge me...be helpful...say Merry Christmas...dont make me feel like I'm bothering you....so mad not sure I'll be back after I get my item on the 19th...might check out a different Canadian Tire as well...then I don't have to go back. A smile goes A long way Canadian staff...try it sometime😠...

There is no excuse for plain old bad customer service. At the checkout there was no acknowledgement. Not a "Hello", nor a "Thank you". The associate automatically put my receipt in the bag without handing it to me or asking me if I wanted the receipt with me. She turned away and let me pick up my bags myself and load my cart myself. It was as though I was inconveniencing her as I couldn't do it as fast as she wanted. She was processing the next person's items and was crowding me out. I am older but so was the Associate so you would think she would be considerate. I am always polite and respectful as that is my nature. If someone has a problem with me then they have a problem with 99% of the population. I have never had this associate before and don't know her from anywhere. She and the whole store need to own this behaviour and admit that this was not acceptable customer treatment, not even by even a minimum standard. My order was $140.00. An older couple who looked about ten years older than even myself and were ahead of me had just left the cash inadvertently left two of their bags there. This may have happened because the Associate didn't hand them their bags. Another Associate who had just come off duty or was on her break and walking by mentioned it to this Associate as the people were walking out but still in the store. The Associate at the cash said something like, "Oh well" as though it wasn't her problem when it absolutely was her problem, it still is her problem and it is Canadian Tire's problem. If I could have called out to them I would have or would have gone up to them. Also, when associates help customers on the floor they should be asking if there is anything else they can help you with so you don't have to go and line up again waiting for assistance for the next item on your list. Especially when you are visibly disabled and using the assistance of some kind of mobility device and are having a difficult time standing and walking. There were so many more things I was looking for on my list but by this point did not have the physical stamina any longer. Money isn't an object with me but terrible customer service is. The store wasn't busy and there were lots of Associates around the floor doing other things. Whatever happened to making the customer experience as effortless as possible?

I buy lots of great things here. Sometimes the return/ customer service line is insanely long and slow moving but if you're purchasing items there's no wait generally.
