Le Nouvel Hotel and Spa

Barbara at the front desk is unfriendly and clearly is not a people-person. She did not offer a smile at any point during the chech-in process. The hotel itself is comfortable and nice roomy. The hotel management went above and beyond to welcome me by upgrading me and providing free access to the sauna. The location was great and there is cheap ($11) parking available. There was hair in the washroom, so the cleanliness of the hotel needs work. But considering the price, it is definitely worst the stay. I would recommend it if you're on a budget.

Quiet rooms and nice view especially if you are at the higher levels. In the hallway they spray or use a solution that has a strong lessive smell, but the rooms are fine. Rooms are a bit crowded and a bit too much furniture. Sometimes the TV is positioned next to the bed instead of opposite the bed. The restaurant has a poor selection of menus and it takes a while to prepare, especially in the evening. The parking is at the back. The hotel has a ramp for wheelchair access at the main entrance from the boulevard.

Great value for money (though my work pays as I'm on business). Comfortable, traditional hotel rooms with handy amenities. Not a fancy boutique, more an affordable, downtown option which maintains integrity, and on average noticeably cheaper than the bigger chain hotels a couple of hundred metres further down the road. Would recommned as such. Not quite a 5 star rating as I felt bathroom could use a deep clean, but certainly deserving of a strong 4. Would have rated 4.5 if I could have.

Great accommodations. All of the staff were super friendly. This hotel is very modern and up to date. Our room was nice, clean, included an out if date TV but the Keurig, fridge and microwave we're a plus. Underground parking for an additional fee but is worth it so you don't have to find parking in the city.

Place smells like a spa. It was the perfect place to sleep overnight and move on the next day. I must say I made a mistake, I believed that the pool was available year round only to find out it is an outdoor pool. That was kind of disappointing. Great view, but the curtains didn't close. Overall alright hotel
