Larga Baffin

I am a previous employee of largar baffin my issue is what happens to the residents . I know that things Largar baffin does sure are good. Once they get the appropriate treatment and care at a hospital they finish the care at Largar baffin but bare in mind once they arrive in ottawa and are introduced to all that isn't back up north at Baffin Island no wonder they experience behavioral changes and if they don't behave appropriately at largar baffin they are evicted then homeless so I ask who is adding to that problem.

I'd give it zero stars if possible.nThis place is full of drunk patients and escorts all hours of the day & night.nI've never gotten enough sleep for the entire 3 weeks of my stay here as an escort, and it is absolutely draining. I am deeply disappointed they allow intoxicated people in the building even with the no alcohol/drugs policy for the patients & escort in place. I'm sure being around intoxicated people is even more exhausting and worrisome for the patients recovering from surgery as they need more rest and should be in a stress free environment. I've heard elders speak about living in fear during their stay here. One elder also said she feels like she's in a psychiatric hospital without the supervised caregivers because of all the intoxicated drugged up guests in and outside of the building. Absolutely disgusting! Sober people walking on eggshells to avoid the drunk & drugged guest, it's so sad!

Friendly staff clean rooms and delicious assortment of food at meal and snack times.nSafety is a priority here, and all the staff are very professional I feel privileged to escort my husband to his surgery and appreciate all the help we receive. Nakurmik thank you merci
