We had a nice hike in the snow with well groomed trails. At the top there is a place to get warm and grab a bite to eat and coffee. We were here last September and wanted to see the view in the winter time.
What a beautiful view of the city! We walked up here, and had delicious hot chocolate inside the beautiful building that has a very medieval vibe. It was a great opportunity to warm up and relax after the hike up here through the snow.nThen a night view of Montreal.
The view is gorgeous. Definitely worth visiting.nnYou can either walk up the mountain or drive up from the back. The buses that get you there are 11 – Parc-du-Mont-Royal / Ridgewood & Line 711 – Parc-du-Mont-Royal / Oratoire.nnThere are clean bathrooms and during summer they have an outdoor piano for anyone who wants to play
Beautiful, breathtaking in any season, but you better come on a sunny day to enjoy the view to the fullest. Usually quite busy, with a lot of people taking photos and enjoying the views.nYou can take a bus here, to the Remembrance way bus stop, and walk an easy way to the Belvedere, and then go down to the McGill side by steps.Or you can take the steps up, which obviously won't be as easy.nGorgeous chateau with coffee shop.nDefinitely worth a visit.
Must visit place in Montréal. You can see the beautiful night view. We missed the sunset but the nightview was amazing. Pictures are uncomparable to the naked eye view. The lodge, Vista, had a clean restroom, a cafe, and lots of chairs to rest and warm up. The path from the bus stop / parking was icy and slippery Dec 30, 2023 so we had to be very careful. Saw someone slip and fall right behind me. It was a short 8 min walk from the parking lot. Right shoes are needed. We took the Grand Stairs down to the streets, and the stairs were very easy and safe to walk. Many people were jogging up the stairs met so many friendly, healthy people in Montréal.
