Imagine your 2-year-old child, exhausted and unable to eat or sleep for two days due to a terrible cold, lying weakly in your arms. Due to unexpected transit line closures not reflected by Google Maps, you will arrive 15 minutes late for your appointment. However, the nurse informs you that you've been marked as absent and doesn’t check on your child, resulting in the remaining 10 minutes of your appointment being lost to discussion rather than care. I understand the importance of being punctual, but a bit more understanding would have been appreciated when dealing with a sick infant. The nurse, Vincent, could have handled the situation with more empathy, I left feeling deeply disappointed, nearly in tears, and utterly hopeless.
I took my toddler for a vaccination today. Unlike last time, the nurse we saw was different and seemed to display a prejudiced attitude. She asked us odd questions like why we live in Quebec and use a 778 area code from BC, and whether we explained the vaccination to our three-year-old. She was in a rush, didn't explain the potential side effects, and quickly administered the vaccine. Afterward, she seemed unusually tense and called me to ask if my toddler is allergic to any medications—after the vaccine had already been given. I didn't see her unpack a new vaccine from a packet. I have serious concerns about her conduct, and if anything goes wrong with my toddler's health, I will hold her accountable.
Great experience. Didn't take too long and everyone was polite and courteous. Jacinthe took my blood and did a great job. I'm very satisfied and glad to have a place like this in our community.
I generally don't have good things to say about our health system, but this is a nice place. Had to see a nurse on a couple of occasions and they were both very nice. People in the waiting room were clean and quiet. Removing one star because of the 2 week wait for doctors to receive blood test results, so I had to go elsewhere.
I was so happy and impressed with this CLSC! A rarity for a CLCS- a receptionist who was polite and friendly both over the phone and in-person. I was able to book an appointment for a few days away. When I arrived for my appointment, the nurse was professional and actually smiled! She solved my problem quickly. I was so pleased with service that was fast, efficient and best-of-all- staff who treat you like a human being, not just a number.
