We have been going here for many years and at a weekly basis, every Saturday. We got to know Malik and Charles and giving them a shout out for a great job. When we started going, pricing was $5. Of recent, maybe the last 9 -12 months as I recollect, pricing went from $7 in the matinee to now $10 for general admissions. The recent purchase of Rainbow and name change to Imagine had resulted in a dramatic admission increase. Increase in minimum wage at the beginning of this year, 2018, didn't help either. Rainbow was well run with many benefits. Imagine has made it more corporate with no value added. Screens are the same. Seating and carpeting are the same. Washrooms are the same. Took away some of the amenities Rainbow offered. Sorry, we haven't been there for a couple months and the only reason we went today was because the youngest wanted to see Jurassic World.
Friendly staff, reasonable price for ticket and food is also decent. Theatre seats are vintage but that’s what you pay for. Honestly though it’s $10 for a ticket and cineplex is $13. However the nostalgic feeling and Reid my staff and most of all I don’t like 3D or 4d glasses so it’s awesome that they never have anything more then a regular movie. Thumbs up
What a difference from when it was a Rainbow Cinema. Very clean, bright and much more friendly staff. Theatres are clean and digital sound, was told seats are next to be updated. Not a fan of no more 1 time refill of popcorn or soda, but even bigger movie places do this now. Keep up the good work and renovations
HORRIBLE experience!! Do not recommend coming here! It’s worth the drive to Queensway Cineplex. This cinema’s theaters are extremely small and outdated. The seats are uncomfortable and very dirty with stains all over. The only upside of housekeeping is the clean and non-sticky floors which are probably only kept that way because of the very limited visitors. What I found very upsetting was the staff not providing a small bag to split our popcorn between those who like popcorn topping and those who don’t. I’ve never had this problem at any other theater in my years. The staff kept repeating it is for inventory purposes and when I said I was willing to pay they told me I had to pay for the full popcorn price? Will not be back here again.
Understand that this is a small theatre so the screen won’t be as big as cineplex. I enjoy this theatre. Tickets and concessions are cheaper than most big theatres and they recently installed a butter machine for popcorn which is a plus! Free butter to smother your popcorn! The employees here are young and hard working and the place is kept clean as it can be. I enjoy the fact that the cup holders are behind other chairs so it’s in front of you. Would be nice to have reclining chairs too and maybe renovate the washroom. All in all great place for a budget.
love that it's close to home, not crazy busy and a movie costs just $10. Their nachos are good too. It has smaller cinema rooms and screens but that doesn't bother me or affect the movie experience.
This place is great. Adults pay $10 and children $7. The snack bar prices are also a lot cheaper. I go see first run movies with my kids at this theatre. Over cineplex theatres you save $30 easy on a family of four for tickets and snacks/drinks. I vote to save money for the same movie.
Imagine Cinema is in Woodbine Mall, Etobicoke. There are about ten cinemas there. The price is only $10. They show current movies. Place is big and clean and seats are comfortable. The staff always clean up after each show. Bathrooms are clean. You can purchase tickets online or at the counters when you buy your snacks. Also I found the staff to be quite friendly. Safe for the kids and fun place for family.
It's nothing fancy but it gets the job done. The staff are nice and the movie selections are always good. I have never had a problem with this location. The only thing is that I'm annoyed that they removed the movie options from the board outside. Something might catch my eye if I see it in passing, but it's a little inconvenient to chenck online or inside every single time.
This movie theater is under rated. It has good movies and cheap prices. However you get what you pay for, the seats are a bit hard but if you are enjoying the movie you won't notice. It also has its own separate entrance so you can still go to the movies if the mall is closed.
