Smashing IT! nnI so much love this theatre!nnIt's clean. The seats are really comfortable. Lots of leg room without annoying the person sitting in front of you or behind you.nnSuch excellent staff! They're so friendly and I was so surprised when one of the staff members came into the theatre just before the move started to wish us well and to enjoy the movie!nnExcellent popcorn and soda as well. Popcorn was properly salted and buttered, with a nice crunch, not stale. The soda was deliciously crispy!nnI really enjoyed the movie, the IMAX screen is superb.nnAll in all it was a great experience and the friendly and very nice staff made my movie experience even that much more amazing!nnThank you! Nice, clean theatre with a great location inside the mall. It’s convenient to grab something to eat before or after the movie and even do a little shopping. I also love that it’s transit accessible — when you get off at Yorkdale Station, you can simply walk through the tunnel right into the mall! They also have a cute Photo Booth With themes based on the movies. We did a Mario themed Photo after the movie, and it was a perfect way to remember an awesome day!

I wanted to take a moment to recognize the exceptional service I received from Nico at Cineplex Yorkdale.nnIn my 36 years, I can honestly say this was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had. Nico was incredibly professional, attentive, and genuinely considerate. Something as simple as offering me a tray made a big difference and showed a level of thoughtfulness that you don’t often see.nnHe went out of his way to be helpful and made the whole experience feel welcoming and enjoyable. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and cares about the people he helps.nnCineplex is lucky to have someone like Nico on their team.

DO NOT GO HERE. The manager, or whoever was on front of house duty tonight treats potential customers like criminals.nnMy husband and I went to get food for takeout from outtakes. We do this often, because we prefer to watch movies at home, but love the hot dogs and nachos.nnWhen he asked us if we needed to purchase tickets, we said no thanks and that we were just there to buy some food, not see a movie.nHe said we could go one at a time to get food, basically implying that were trying to sneak into a movie or were there for some other nefarious reason.nnWhen I asked him if we could go in just to pick up food he asked to see my order number. I told him the uber store closed and my order didn't go through but that we just wanted to go get food to take home.nHe then very rudely said that we need to order on Uber, all while he was simultaneously closing off the entrance and not even having the courtesy or decency to make eye contact with us.nNeedless to say, we left without ordering anything, and will not be returning.nnWas his behaviour because we were wearing black hoodies and jackets, and he just assumed we were troublesome hoodlums? Possibly. Or maybe he was just having a bad night I know I am now.nEither way it's a shame because we are respectable, loyal customers and we usually order and pickup food at least once each month at this location with no issues perhaps a slight issue where our food is never ready when it says it will be, or the order is wrong. I've looked past this though and have continued to support the business.nnGoing forward I will drive to another Cineplex, because I'd rather spend the gas to go to a farther location than be looked down on again by this man, or anyone for that matter.nnI don't typically write reviews, but I was so appalled and disgusted at how we were spoken to and treated, that I felt others and management deserved to know. I would give less than 1 star if Google permitted.nThis employee was disrespectful, impolite, and ill-mannered, and he lost the business a sale. We had no interest in a movie, we just wanted to purchase food. Is that too much to ask??nIt's good to know that this Cineplex feels the need to separate a couple like they're felons being interrogated, just to go order some hot dogs and nachos.nnYorkdale Cineplex strongly needs to reevaluate their staff and its customer service standards.

Cineplex always has promotions. I took advantage of the 2 days long weekend event to watch Superman for $5 + taxes per person. Bought the tickets online for a minimal data processing fee and reserved the seats ahead of time. $6 all in is what it came up to in the end per person. What a deal! Note: One can redeem no minimum amount and collect Scene points online.nnWent to an early show to beat the crowd. The whole online process was easy to navigate. No issues encountered.nnThe seats do recline and have its own cup holder. The seats are comfy and are well labelled. The catch is, the seat number is visible when the seat is empty and faces upwards. Go just before showtime, before they dim the lights.nnTim Hortons is no longer available at this theatre. There’s a gaming area, Xscape at this theatre just before one enters the auditoriums lobby area. There’s 2 visible kids party rooms available for rent.nnWashrooms are well maintained and clean to use. The entrance to the theatre is located on the 2nd floor where Sportchek is located. Access it via escalators. People who need an elevator, may find that elevator on the first floor where Moxie restaurant is located across the Currency Exchange Kiosk.nnFrom what I see, there’s 8 auditoriums in total. Auditorium gate 7 and 8 might be largest in size.nnIt’s located in Yorkdale Mall, so there’s lots of parking. It’s connected to the public transportation like the GO transit buses and TTC subway station and buses.
