This hotel is in a great location. Easy and accessible to a lot. We were just in town for a weekend event. The lobby was recently remodeled along with their restaurant and it looks fantastic.
I do feel they need to put more money in updating some of their rooms. We were in a double queen room on the first floor near the pool( which was fine because it was closed) but our room ended up having ants. I wasn’t one to complain because even if they came out to treat them, it would take a few days for them to go away. We were just very cautious.
Staff is friendly and accommodating

I look for 3 things from hotels: clean, quiet and dark. This was not particularly clean; was not quiet (room faced the atrium); was not dark, with ill fitting shades. The gap under the door was large enough that when someone outside dropped their pen, it slid under the door into our room. Rooms are advertised as having "kitchens", but ours had only a small fridge and microwave.
Had only 1 bath towel for a room with queen bed. Other guests staying there for our conference had no bath towels. On the bright side, when they brought additional towels, they were excellent, large and thick. Also, the bathroom tissue was better than many hotels I've stayed at.

Rooms were clean, if a bit old looking. However, this is fine. The beds were comfortable and I slept well. The shower has a strange drain that doesn't allow the water to drain fast enough, so the tub fills even during a brief shower. The main issue I had wasn't with the room, it was with the lady working at the front desk, who was rude and condescending to us when we tried to check in and she couldn't find our reservation. Parking is also $12 per day, which is quite frankly ridiculous. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel on our first night, which proved to be a good choice, as the burger I had was absolutely delicious, if a bit expensive at $18. There is also free 8oz coffee from the coffee shop since there aren't coffee pots in the room. Overall would be four or five stars if the lady at the front desk was nicer and parking was included.

We're told we would have 2nd floor and handicap easy room when booking-didn't happen. No coffee maker in the room, you have to go downstairs, 5 flights down and large walk for person having mobility issues. No room service for food, no phone books or information about any food or needed local info in rooms, no complimentary or food vouchers for continental breakfast in the morning. I would rate at a 1 but the staff was friendly and room was clean, cleaning staff are awesome. Wouldn't stay here again. Did have good view of river from our room.

I haven't stayed here in many years. The building was not Red Lion the last time I stayed. I did attend a Dale Carnegie Course here for 8 weeks recently though. I like what they have done with the place! It's very modern now. I am sure a stay here is great, as long as the rooms and the service are as nice as the hotel itself. We had dinner a couple of nights at the restaurant. Food was good and service was pretty good too.
