Location is wonderful! Rooms were clean and looked nice, however sound very much travels. Hopefully they will better insulate their rooms so we don't have to hear every conversation in the hallway in the future. Also the heater/AC unit could benefit from being replaced. It's very loud and woke us every time it kicked on. Only reason for three stars is the fact that we kept being awoken from the noise. However, the hotel staff and the cleanliness of the room were top notch and the location was perfect!

My company has for the past 4 years had our holiday party at the DoubleTree and although I've never stayed in a room our banquet hall is always beautiful and the service is top class. Parking is always easy and reasonably priced. And the hotel is always clean and kept.

Good place if you have a dog. It's a $35. Non refundable fee for the dog which is reasonable. The staff here is very friendly and courteous and if you come here don't forget to ask about the cookies. The one thing that I didn't like were that the bathrooms could be a little more updated. Shower curtain rod was falling off the wall so it was hard not to step on the shower curtain while taking a shower. Also would have liked to have a microwave in the room. This place is a great location for anywhere downtown. Especially if you like to use the Riverwalk. Also very close to the university.

Checked in a little later in the evening and wasn't given the normal hotel explanation. Got into the room, finally got the temp comfortable(was much too hot) and got to sleep. About 4 am the plumbing started making some really loud flushing sounds which woke us up. In the morning when we turned the water on to brush our teeth the water ran brown for a minute. Ended up using a bottle of water to brush our teeth. Decided to go grab a quick breakfast and the breakfast for diamond members was only carbs. Fruit, oatmeal, breads, and yogurt. Went to the front and they did comp us breakfast but he argued that all double trees only give continental breakfast as of a year ago. I've stayed at a few other double trees this year and got the full breakfast. Not sure what is so special about this hotel.

clean and very up scale decor. the event was held in the conference room but even that was beautiful enough to make you pause to soak it in. no detail overlooked. very impressed
