Just had a lovely ladies weekend here. Overall we had a great time and would stay again.nnThe hotel is very conveniently located in Downtown Tacoma so you can walk to many places or take the streetcar. Also if you're there on a weekend just park on the street to avoid $26 charge. Off street parking ends after 6pm and is free on Sundays the concierge was not helpful with this info. We walked everywhere.nnWe stayed in a double room on the top. floor. Beds are full sized and room was okay sized. But the view was incredible overlooking the Puget Sound! The style and ambience of the rest of the hotel is tasteful, lots of beautiful artwork and glass and lounges with fires.nnOur favorite part of our stay was the Patron's lounge with snacks and beverages and a lovely hot breakfast in the morning. It was incredibly nice to have a space to view Mt Rainier 25 stories up and enjoy coffee privately.
Super friendly staff and a great stay. We were here for 9 days with two kids and it had a great combination of quiet + good amenities. We’ll be back!
Absolutely love this hotel. Walked in to the cutest room ever with these really pretty red lamps see picture. Dinner was fantastic, and the hotel has an art theme so it's super fun to explore. I've never felt like just walking around a hotel before this one. Also they respond to room requests insanely fast! The shower in our room was clogged so I told the front desk, and literally 5 minutes later a guy showed up to fix it. And when I asked for more towels / toilet paper, again 5 minutes later someone was at the door. It was so nice to get such a quick response, because I've been to many other hotels where no one ever showed up.nnI do have one small complaint, but it wasn't enough of an issue to take away from a 5 star review. The elevators are very fast, which is fine for me, but it was bothering my husband's vertigo not enough to fully set it off but it made him dizzy getting out of the elevator. Slowing down the elevators a bit would be really good in this case, for people with these sensitivities.
Had a great experience staying here for the weekend to watch a show with the kids. Room was clean and hotel was quiet. T-line is just a block down so super convenient to get to Tacoma dome. Not a lot of restaurants within walking distance. Would stay here again.
Rating the Venice conference rooms only, not the hotel rooms. There were overhead lights flickering on and off that really distracted from the highly detailed, live demonstrations. The AV equipment available was not sufficient for attendees to clearly see and hear the presenter or their demonstrations. The bathrooms across the hall could have been kept tidier between conferences, most of the time the entire sink counter and floor were too wet to set down a bag and it created a slippery surface. Not a great conference experience. Aside from that, the lounge areas look nice. The area is fairly hill-y so walkable amenities are a bit challenging. Pretty close to the public transit lines though, which is helpful for getting to restaurants a little further North. All the personnel I interacted with were very helpful.
