The door to our room did not work consistently. In fact, we were unable to open it at all numerous times during our stay. The breakfast is mostly sugar-laden. The fresh fruit (bananas and oranges) were either unripe or tasteless. The room door had a 1/2 inch opening where there should have been something to block the cold air out. The staff was reasonable friendly but showed very little concern about the door problem. If I were managing this place, I'd be figuring out how to a) make sure all the doors worked every time b) improve the breakfast and c) make sure all the doors sealed properly. I would have a hard time recommending this place.

The staff are lovely. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The window for the room I stayed in pointed directly to the walkway. Had the hotel been busier during my stay I would have felt uneasy about that. There is a bit of an odor to the room - similar to the smell of a stuffy old building. The breakfast offered is mediocre, but not bad. There is a selection of waffles, bagels, yogurts, cereals, that kind of thing. The coffee is actually quite decent.

Despite the eerie closed-down area of town and motel-esqe exterior, I had a more than pleasant stay here. I last minute booked a room for a one night stay at 9pm, and the room was warm and clean. The water pressure in the shower was exceptional. Continental breakfast was standard fruit, waffle etc. and was available at 6am just when I needed it. One friendly office staff member was our only interaction there.

This property is just OK. If the location works for you great, otherwise this property is in an average part of town at best. The rooms have undergone some recent renovations to the carpeting and bathroom areas, which was noticable. Overall the room conditions were decent, although one living room chair did have a broken leg. Complementary breakfast is offered here, but is thin compared to other Best Westerns. Don’t expect scrambled eggs and bacon or anything like that. My biggest gripe is we were guaranteed a king room at this property, but were only given a single queen upon arrival. Management would not fix this even though the room had been guaranteed for over a month. We were not even told at check-in that our room type had been changed. We were told this happened because the property was booked full, but the parking lot definately suggested otherwise. Again, the room wasn’t bad, we just didn’t get what we booked.

Quoted price when checked in was not what was charged. Stayed a second night and not advised room rate would be higher since it was on Friday. Ambiguous language on sign regarding using debit card. This is an older Best Western and felt like it. Would not recommend it. I have stayed at many Best Westerns, this is only one I came away knowing I would never use again!!!
