Great experience. Excellent food and staff. Rooms were nice but beds a little harder than like but survived. The price was great. Best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. Our stay wasn't pleasure due to family member in hospital. Would've loved to came earlier to enjoy more. Next time will be pleasure.

Nice place to spend the evening even if you are not attending an event at the Tacoma Dome. The neighborhood was being reconstructed when I was there otherwise there literally was nothing to do around the hotel. Fairly good drive from Seattle. Dispensary is close if you are into that recreation. Continental breakfast with an omelet station. Rooms were comfortable enough for 5 of us with out being on top of each other There is a book store near by that has the largest collection of used books in America, perhaps. Good place for staying a night without a purpose.

Corporate rates were very fair. They unfortunately missed my reservation that was made 3 months prior but lucky had a room available. The rooms were very clean. My room never really got warm but it worked. Breakfast was mediocre. The restaurant was not open which was a little confusing with the meal tickets.

I travel a lot for work. I generally stay at Best Western Plus hotels. They are usually descent quality with friendly people. Last year I had 90 days spent in Best Westerns. I called this place 3 times trying to book a room. One time they answered then said immediately I needed to hold, whereupon they hung up on me. I called back another time and had the same immediate hold, after 5 minutes of silence I hung up. I tried one more time and before they put me on hold I told them I just needed to book a room. I was rudely told to call back in 20 or 30 minutes because they had a bunch of people in front of them. I understand being busy and PROPERLY setting customer expectations. None of that was done. I then asked for the manager and was told they don't have one. I asked for the owner or GM and was transferred to a phone with a full voicemail... What a crock of B.S! There is another Best Western NOT a plus but has terrific people that work there and rooms that have just been remodeled. It is in Lakewood, WA. Drive the extra 10 minutes and skip this place!

This is a nice, clean, conveniently located hotel. Though it seems as though it is in "no man's land", you actually have a lot of amenities within walking distance and at the hotel. For example, the cool Freighthouse Square with shops and food stalls is just steps away. The light rail, Amtrak and main bus stops are also within an 8 minute walk. If you like a longer trek, you can walk downtown in 15 or 20 minutes or take the trolley which stops two streets below the hotel. Overall, although this is somewhat of a budget hotel, they provide a superior breakfast (I especially appreciated the omelet station and the non-dairy milk provided), very clean and nice rooms, a fitness room (though it's tiny) and a great location!
