Hilton Garden Inn Winnipeg South

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Rooms were great, lots of room and had everything you needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant had great food and a nice outdoor seating area. The breakfast was ok and a little over priced if you didn't take full advantage of the buffet. However it was nice that you could get the chef to make almost any breakfast food.

Both dinner and breakfast were fantastic. Room was clean, large, comfortable and very sound proof. Pool is small but they've filled it with fun stuff for the kids (noodles, google's, water guns, a tube) and the hot tub was very nice. Staff went above and beyond as the pool doesn't open until 9 and our kids were suited up and ready to go at 8, a staff let us in an hour early and wished us well. Great stay overall.

I had a banquet there and couldn’t be more happier with the service. Everything was perfect.Sofia the banquet manager and Rob the hotel manager , made sure I had everything I needed and was there at every second for us. The food was amazing, my guest was also amazed at the food, service and how clean the hotel was. The hotel room was very modern, beds very comfortable and the buffet breakfast was amazing.

Online it shows 159.00 for room but when you go there directly it is over 230 - Wow we attended a party and wanted to stay there as it was late and we did not want to drive The food was horrible and service was, well lets just not there. We did not get any drinks at table as there were no servers. Finally one came in and we asked for some coke but he never came back. I had to go to the bar to get one. It was Indian food but nothing was close to what it should have been. The hall was small and not enough for what they booked We ended up coming home and had some leftovers.

I am not sure where to begin. I was attending a gathering last weekend and not a good experience. This was a formal gathering and being at Hilton, one would assume that it will be all great and professional. The female person in charge was wearing yoga pants and white T shirt. I have nothing against anyone wearing anything but one does not go to work at Hilton like that. They were using wine glasses for drinks. They, then brought few but ran out. I was talking to someone and the price charged was hefty based on per person. Appetizers were on buffet but there was no cutlery. All items were suppose to be hot items but it was all cold and worse thing, very soggy and raw. Fried fish is easiest recipe and they could not do that right. There were many vegetarian people and NO DESCRIPTION of food and what was in it at all. Finally they brought these small cards but hard to read. Veg Manchurian looked like meat balls so I just did not even touch that. The plates were too small so we could not even take what we wanted. the servers had no direction at all but my feeling was that they are new. The dinner was exact replica of Appetizers. Lets just say that they should not try to cook Indian food at all. Place is new but they are not ready to cater any big events. I think they should hire someone experienced to run.
