Assiniboine Gordon Inn on the Park

Me, my wife and 9 year old son stayed here for three nights. We are very happy about the stay. Definitely will stay here again if come to Manitoba again. Staff are very friendly and caring. Room is very clean. We really like the air conditioning, giving us cool fresh air and very quiet. They are very attention to details too. Last not the least, the restaurant is great too! Breakfast, lunch and dinner are very good. All the stuffs at restaurant are very friendly!

Had a great experience here! The rooms were fairly nice, especially for the price, and the included hot! breakfast the next morning was awesome. Staff was very friendly.nnThe location is a double-edged sword, as there are lots of restaurants/shops/a park nearby, but it can get a little noisy at night.nnDidn't love having to put down a $250 damage deposit ahead of time, but I understand why it might be necessary and will hopefully get that back and will update this if there are any issues.nnOverall, highly recommended!

I have never left review, but after having stayed here, I feel the need. We reserved over the phone while driving from Regina to Winnipeg; the receptionist was very professional. The problem started when we got to the hotel. The first thing we noticed were the poker machine clients from the bar in the hotel blocking the entrance while smoking. It got worse once inside. Everything was old, dated and sad. There was a strange musty odor that emanated from everywhere. As the hour of our arrival did not allow us to look for another hotel, we decided to stay here anyway. To my surprise, we had to pre-pay a 250,00 $ security deposit PLUS our hotel room fee. The room was dingy and musty smelling. The worst part was the toilet and shower. The toilette made strange noises each time it flushed, and there was rust around the edge of the bath. When checking out, the receptionist said the security deposit would be processed in three business days....I insisted the inspection of the room be done immediately.nBeware!

Located near the airport, so little to no delay in regards to catching a flight. We stayed for the night due to our flight cancellation from the previous night. Hotel service was straightforward, and fits the cheap budget for an overnight stay. The hotel has 2 buildings for rooms. We stayed in the double queen room. Room was very spacious. It did not have a television.nnThe only issue was a broken radiator and no AC.nnFree breakfast for hotel guests, and was very delicious and filling!
