Reviews
The rooms are very plain, but clean. Built on the cheap. Service was horrible. Staff are clearly overworked.....no supervision in sight. Prices are typical based on the convenient location.nnNot quiet. But you can't expect to meditate in a kid-friendly hotel. nnThe restaurant is pricey and fair quality. Again, you pay for the convenience.
Overall good hotel. Rooms are a little dated especially the bathroom with a cracked mirror and mold. Other than that the staff was kind and helpful and lots of stuff to do in the hotel. But the room was not very good.
Checked in to find my bathroom not cleaned from the last guest, as well as towels + complimentary products to be on my bed, as if housekeeping just gave up.nnI was offered a different room and a $10 voucher, which expired the next day; at the time I was okay with this solution—mistakes happen, sure.nnWhen I get to my new room, there are long hairs on my toilet seat and towels! I then realize I have a view of the pool. Not only is this quite creepy, but it also means that I had light seepage for the entirety of my night.nnFor the final straw, this hotel does not have AC units inside the rooms! It was 22 degrees Celsius 72 F all night, and I much prefer a cool room at night. The maintenance staff’s solution was to give me a fan…nnAlthough staff were friendly enough, this is a management issue. It is absolutely imperative that other guests either avoid this establishment entirely or voice their experiences with poor reviews; I cannot be the only guest who feels this way.nn2 stars for front desk staff for making an effort…0 stars for everything else. I won’t be staying here again.
Last time we were here it was a 5 star worthy stay.. this time however I'm having a hard time finding anything ppsitive to say. Our whole floor has a musty smell, especially our room. Temp in hallway is ridiculously hot with dehumidifiers plugged in outside every second room. Asked to switch/ upgrade our room and was told no. Water dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom. All the drink machines are down, so front desk told us to go buy some from the bar rather than actually helping us out with a simple bottle of drinking water... then the bar on site doesn't even have bottled water! A year ago I loved this place! I don't know what happened. But I do not recommend staying here anymore! Will be trying to find a different place to stay for the remainder of our trip!
We had the best time in Winnipeg mainly due to the great people !!!nEveryone we encountered was so friendly and went above and beyond the call of duty. Ammol at the front desk might be the most kind and friendly person I’ve met in a long time. Darian the bartender in the little casino/bar was very good and also very nice ! We will definitely be back and will stay at another Canad inns with a themed room !! The manager in the Tavern United was also awesome, she even put our picture on their site. Loved everything about our trip to Winnipeg. Even took in a Jets Game
