Canad Inns Destination Centre Polo Park

DO NOT stay here if you are hoping to get away and relax for the weekend. Security came up to our floor until 3 in the morning trying to quiet people down. People hanging out in the elevators intoxicated and riding them up and down all night. No respect for people actually trying to sleep. The room was clean and renovated but the walls are paper thin. Staff was trying to be helpful but it seems they are at their limit and were trying their best given the situation.

We had to call down way too much for service but when we did they were wonderful.nVery dirty hot tub suite. Gross! Dust on the grey walls, scum on the tile in hot tub, dust hanging from the popcorn ceiling over the hot tub and no hot water until they reset the system. No robes or slippers, no room service menu, t.v. channel guide or regular coffee. We even paid $25 for champagne.nWhat happened to a good stay?

Amazing staff!nWe went for a company Christmas party. When we tried to check in, our reservation could not be found. They said they were sold out but asked for a minute to make a call. They did and found us a room.nThe next morning, we wanted to try the breakfast buffet. The food was good but the coffee was off. Mentioned to the waitress and she apologized and made a new pot. When our bill arrived she'd taken some off our bill for the ruined experience. We felt cared for and appreciated.nWill definitely recommend

While I was busy checking in with 2 kids, one of my kids was waiting in the lobby chairs behind me. He took out his toys, and while he was looking at it, his backpack was stolen. Right in the front lobby. His blanket that he had since he was a baby was in the backpack. No assistance or anything from the front desk. They were nice, but basically said, nothing they could do. A guest getting robbed while in the middle of checking in did not seem to surprise the staff at the front desk. There were also two separate incidents during our stay which involved police and EMT. A little distressing for the child who was blatantly robbed. Did I mention it was his birthday? Sad.

Great hotel and location. It has a restaurant, pub, and gaming lounge. Plus the pool and water slide. It was freezing cold during our trip and these options were so nice to have to avoid going out.
