Hôtel Chez Swann

Great boutique hotel! Funky art, the rooms are spacious, the bed was super comfy, the showers are huge and for 2! I loved everything about this hotel with the exception of the rooms above the bar. Ask for the 3rd floor. I don't mind noise so it was okay for me but I know many would complain about this. Oh and the breakfast is included with the restaurant beside it which has a partnership.

An amazing chic hotel with some quirky and dare I say kinky design themes. You can shower and have someone watch you scrub dem butt cheeks, I mean, if that's your thing. I got a great deal on hotwire and it's pretty sweet for the cost. Oh yeah, the mattress / bedding quality was top of the line. In my opinion that definitely makes or breaks a hotel visit.

We were there for one night and it was a horrible experience. Our hotel towel was covered with blood. The shower facet was covered with soap scum and the washroom definitely needed a clean. The bed was comfortable but I just can't get over the fact that the bathroom was definitely not a 4-star quality. Won't ever stay there ever again.

I got a free upgrade to junior suite upon check in - comfy king bed all to myself! Since it's in an older building the noise travels easily as I heard loud thumps. It was just the neighbours walking around but due to the old wood flooring sounded much louder. Free breakfast is nice though it's not very special, and location is good as it's centrally located.

Chez Swann is in an ideal location to see the sights of downtown Montreal. The rooms are bigger than most chain hotels. The beds are very comfortable as well.
