Good Taste Casserole Rice - Unionville

Our absolute favorite restaurant in Markham Canada! The clay pot rice is an absolute MUST!!! You get this diluted soup and service which both isn't very good but the rest is amazing that still deserve my 4 shiny stars! I don't even have to mention much of the items but we got anchovies with spare ribs clay pot rice, their 4 treasure which is eel, Chinese sausage lop churn, Chinese meat lop yuk and BBQ pork and very flavorful and the last one is smooth chicken with eel. The best part is ALWAYS the crispy rice that sticks to the pot. DO NOT THROW THAT OUT!!!!! Put your arm muscles to work and scrap every bit of that deliciousness out of the pot. Just look at my last picture. I would eat the pot if my stomach can possibly digest it! Don't forget their sweet soy sauce. Pour a generous amount, mix mix mix and your tummy will thank you!!!

Preserved meat clay pot rice is usually preserved sausage and pork belly here in Vancouver. We were so happy to see that they had preserved spare ribs and their own preserved fish and duck too! The meats weren’t too salty and extremely fragrant. Prices were super cheap! Each clay pot rice comes with a daily soup and plate of greens. Their rice rolls were also excellent! I wish we had a place like this here!

It was my first time to visit this place for clay pot rice. The place was dated and small but organized. They have many different kinds of clay pot rice combinations on their menu. Each clay pot rice comes as a combo with a Chinese soup and a plate of veggie. The price is very reasonable for a combo with three items. They prepare and cook each clay pot by order. It took about 20mins for our clay pot rice to be served. It tasted very fresh and hot. We enjoyed it a lot.

The best sizzling pot rice in town ! We really love their special rice in clay pots. Price is very reasonable, the order comes w a traditional Chinese soup & a plate of veggie. The place itself is not fancy but it is acceptable. However the taste is really good. We drive very far to visit many times. Definition recommend to friends & family.

One of our fav spots to get rice bowls! We’ve been here a few times and each time it has been tasty! Would be better if the meat was less greasy, as it makes it taste a bit heavy. The location is also not the cleanest, however it’s still yummy!

This restaurant specializes in clay pot rice. I.e. The ingredients and rice are cooked together in a clay pot. Each rice pot comes with a soup and a small plate of veggies. There wasn't much taste in their soup. The veggies were cooked well. The clay pot rice was delicious. The rice at the bottom was a bit crispy which is a good thing. Their prices were very reasonable. The service was just alright. Their decor was dated.

Savoury, simple, and satisfying : An additional note: the dishes are very reasonably priced too. They have a relatively large selection of clay pot rice toppings and rice rolls to choose from, we ordered the Four Treasures three varieties of cured meats, and a small piece of BBQ eel and salty fish and pork rice pots, along with an order of rice rolls with a vegetable and peanut filling not pictured. Everything was excellent. The rice rolls were probably the best I've ever had— delicate and silky, and the fillings were balanced in taste and texture. Note that the atmosphere and service are typical of what you'd expect from a small Chinese establishment— quick, impersonal, and curt. I didn't mind it, it reminded me of some of the asian dining experiences of my childhood hahaha.

One of the best clay pots rice in town! I highly recommend the spare ribs and chicken feet. super tasty and fresh takes about 15 mins or so to arrive. Please hang on tight, you won't regret it.

Busy takeout place. I think the tin foil bowl is designed for their takeout. The rice was still hot after I got home. Updates Oct 2022 I think it's because of inflation and higher costs in food price, the meat quality is lower than before as they didn't increase their menu price. Dined in this time, it was still a busy place. We waited for half an hour for a table. They asked you to order first, then waiting outside. I found that people can order by phone and they can get the table faster and food will be served when you seat down. We thought the waiting line was 10 mins but ended up half an hour. Soup was tasteless. Pork was over tenderized. Texture was like sponge. I would suggest them to raise the price to get better meat quality and be honest to the customers how many people are in front of you if needed to wait.

Great hidden gem in this super busy plaza Peachtree @ Kennedy/7. Clay pot rice was fresh - all bowls served with soup and veggies. Rice noodle rolls.were.really well made - super thin noodles that soak up the sauce!Food: 5/5
