George Pearson Centre

Current residence at George Pearson center the staff are amazing. Understaffed quite often leading to something being needed but overall a great place to live

The care here is 50/50. If your family member requires medical attention from the doctor here, don’t expect anything to be done. Infections will go untreated etc. Dr. Yap never comes around when paged and doesn’t look into things. Pure neglect. The real difference here is made by the kind nurses and care aides such as: Taylor, Mark, Zenny, Bob, Joseph, Edith, Kim, Suki, Alex, Kiran and others whose names I don’t remember. Huge thank you to them for the good care they provide and their genuine sense of compassion. The care aide with short hair named Christine needs to be fired immediately. She is very aggressive and rough with the residents as well as family members who are visiting. She should not be allowed to be caring for our most vulnerable population at all. I have also heard from other staff members that she takes her anger out on them as well. She is a miserable person who feels the need to make other people miserable too.

I was a part of their “Accidental Brain Injury” program in Ward 1 and found the staff to be sincere and care for the people there.nnThey were able to help me with the rehabilitation I needed and get all the identification I was missing replaced.nnThe seniors at George Pearson seem quite satisfied with their stay and everyone is taken care of when needed.

I have lived in Geotge Pearson for over a year and have zero to comlain about. The staff here is friendly an easy to talk to. I have made friends on every ward, and have lots of acticities to occupy my time. I get taken out often on shopping trips and the cover every one of my basic needs including in person vsits. I am slated to move in March to the redevelopment housing but will be difficult to leave the place I call home. Am very happy here and think the people who on't like it, don't know how good it is to be here.

This center doesn't properly take care of his seniors, the food they feed them it's elder abuse this is the diet served to one of the residents who happens to be paraplegic and diabetic. It's inhumane!
