Story

Fresh Air Experience has been providing Ottawa and area with high quality outdoor goods and service since 1969.

We specialize in cross-country skis, bicycles, clothes, and many other great products. We have long been at the forefront of race ski selection techniques and high performance waxing and are extremely proud of the podiums and other huge accomplishments that our customers have earned while skiing equipment selected by us.

We stock XC skis for all ages and abilities. Whether you prefer classic technique or skate, or want to take your adventures more into the back country, we have what you need. And all at great prices. We ship skis to customers across Canada, from BC to Newfoundland.

We have friendly, community involved, active participant and well-trained staff just waiting to help you gear up. Just give us a call or drop us a line, it will be our pleasure to serve you.

I've been trying to find a bike for my daughter for over a month... I went to so many places, and I found it very difficult to get assistance with finding and selecting a proper bike. When I went in to Fresh Air Experience, the staff were friendly and helpful. One of the sales associates really took the time to show us and talk to us about the bikes. We ended up getting one that was a perfect size and price. They ordered the bike in for us to try it out and my daughter loved it!

Have purchased 2 bikes from here after receiving excellent service on my old bike purchased elsewhere, and receiving poor after sales service. Staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating in responding to my service needs (always fast, and efficient) and questions on parts and special order requests. They are honest in their opinion of what you need to address your cycling needs are will not try to up sell you. Best bike shop in my book.

Very poor customer service from one higher up staff member in particular. Unfortunately after a couple of years and 2 bikes I will no longer be purchasing here. The original member of staff who sold me my bike was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately in my more recent visits I encountered more underhand/ entitled sales practices. Luckily I was able to find a great place, Cyclelogic just a few 100ms away. They have a very welcoming atmosphere and were able to complete the work at a better price.

2 of there mechanics serviced my front derailer befor a race. they told me it was "caked" and ill need about 100$ worth of work on my bike and a new front derailer. they made my derailer so bad, it didnt even shift to 3rd no more. i didnt need 3rd anyways. when i got home it took me 5 minute to fix my front derailer in perfect condition and im only 15. there is noting els wrong with my bike a.d they seem to be uneducated about bikes.
