Fredie's Fantastic Fish House

First, about the staff: Never in my life have I seen a restaurant's workers communicate so well with each other. This restaurant was extremely busy when I arrived with only one seat left to sit down in. That didn't stop the staff from treating every guest as if they were family, making sure that the food was prepared properly and enjoyed. I'd be confident in saying that the service was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Now about the food: Most flavorful fish I've ever had. Fries were great but also comparable to over "great" fries out there. Only thing was that certain edge pieces were slightly overcooked but not enough for me to reduce my rating. This place isn't just fantastic, it's mouth-dropping, eye-popping, FANTASTIC! I will definitely be back in the future and will bring others with me next time.

The. Best. Fish. And. Chips. Hands down. Hospitality was on point. Food was hot and fresh. Big portions are their forte so come hungry. Tourists, do not leave Halifax until you've stopped here. Trust me. And try their chowder. I didn't think of it but, all I heard the locals talk about was their chowder. This place is definition of eastern hospitality.

I have lived in NS for 35 years and this is by far the best chowder I have ever had (nice thin broth and lots of lobster meat). Also the BEST fish and chips ever. My family lives three hours away but dine here often.
