The Auction House

First time visiting the Auction House. Saturday night of Burger Week, so it was busy everywhere. However, the service was very quick and good considering. Great atmosphere and the food was delicious. Really impressed with the Mac Stack burger. I look forward to coming back and trying more.

Came here with a few friends on a Saturday night without a reservation and we were seated pretty quick. Started with the down and dirty bites and they were fantastic. Had the Oats Mcgoats burger and upgraded to the truffle fries. The burger was great and I'd gladly eat it over and over again, I found the fries a bit salty but didn't eat many as the burger kinda filled me up. The beer selection here is excellent and the price for dinner and a few drinks really wasn't too bad.

Been here for lunch a few times. The service is always prompt and the drink selection is nice. Staff are friendly and the decor is welcoming whether you choose to sit up front by the windows, or in the back by the booths. The patio is nice in the summer.

We went for brunch on my wife's birthday and the service was amazing. We tried the french toast and the eggs Benedict (my wife's favourite) and we both agreed it was something special. The Hollandaise sauce was so much better than other places in Halifax and the potatoes they do are so much better than the greasy mess you get in a lot of other places, much more refined. The presentation of the dishes were also A LOT better. The french toast was good but a bit too sweet for my taste. They treated us to a few free items from their baked good table and they were all quite good (not loaded with sugar). Everything was very satisfying and the decor was beautiful. Going once, going twice, I'm sold!

This place was packed the night of the Santa Claus Parade but still managed to get 10 of us in for a bite around 7PM. The food took some time but it was reasonable due to the crowd. When the food came it was hot and delicious. Well made and tasty, we all shared a bit of each other's meals and they were all the same: delicious. They had some live entertainment too which was great. The server was polite even though the place was loud. Highly recommend the Auction House.
