The Old Triangle Irish Alehouse

Classic Halifax go-to. Good beer and spirits selection, and there's always some live music. I'd deem it an older crowd, and the music is sometimes slower than other venues. Good all round nonetheless. The service is okay, however it gets really busy, and as such, the servers do their best :) they're always friendly and courteous. I have never ordered anything off the menu so I can't speak to the quality of the food! Also, there's no cover which is a bonus

Great atmosphere, friendly service and delicious hearty pub food. We came here for a quick Easter lunch because my wife was craving sweet potato fries which we had heard were the best in town. She had their fish and chips with sweet potato fries as a substitution. The curry mayo sauce that went with them was quite savory the fish was good but not the best, a nice flaky haddock but the portion was quite small. I had their Irish pasty that was quite bland and could have used more filling and less flake pastry. The sweet potato fries were small in portion and not as cunchy or tasty as other places we have been to. We will be back to try other items on their menu.

The corn beef and cabbage from this place is seriously the best thing I've ever had. This pub is quite possibly the best place you can go to if you're a tourist visiting the area or an everyday local who wants to grab a bite to eat with friends. The owners are very friendly and the cooks know how to make an outstanding meal.

One of the best Irish pubs in Halifax with the atmosphere and economic to match. Excellent live music here frequently, and the service is solid as well. There's a wide variety of beers and spirits, and the food is great, especially for lunch. Incredible place to spend St. Patrick's day, but you'll have to line up at 5 am to get in!

Great atmosphere, good burger week special. The live music was on point this evening with Roger Stone playing. I’m new to Halifax and I’ll definitely be back!
