I had a truly awful shopping experience at this Food Basics location. The store was shockingly dirty, and it’s clear that the management here has no idea how to properly run a market. The lack of basic hygiene is concerning—what does 'cleanliness' even mean to the staff here? Shelves were disorganized, floors were filthy, and the entire environment was uncomfortable and unsanitary. This store desperately needs a deep clean and better management to prioritize hygiene. Until then, I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.

I came here last month when I visited Toronto. Good place to do grocery shopping. The items are all well kept and arranged. The store is also clean. The price is also quite reasonable.

I'm extremely disappointed with the pricing practices at this store. The prices on the shelves didn't match the prices at the checkout, and the pricing code policy was not respected. This is a deceptive practice that is designed to take advantage of customers. The store employees also try to fool customers which is hardly understandable…Avoid this store at all costs

Is this really where you want to buy your meat? This store is disgusting. ESPECIALLY around the meat area, these displays should be spotless. They haven't been cleaned in years. You're looking at mould, dried animal blood and filth. Do yourself a favour and protect your families health - stay away from this store.

I have being living in Canada all my life so I had many jobs including LP. I am living in this area for many many years am always at food basic sometimes 3 to 4 times a week …they have random floor walker and also security at times so there must be a reason why ….. because am there often I mainly come for few items today Oct 16 around 11:30 2024 went in to grab a pop and saw the crackers still on sale I grab 2 went at self check out ask for a bag she brought the bag over and scan it for me as though amnHandicap she saw me scanning and stood right there . As if this wasn’t enough she saw my scan item and telling me they different price i said they same price that’s y I scanned one 2 times am not trying to steal a $1.98. She then scan and it was same price. I felt very humiliated. I said to her I don’t like that u working here and that cracker is on sale didn’t last week and you don’t know the price ?I ask her name it hardly can read she goes to me get away and if u blind and can’t read then I don’t care then went to tell the other cashier so I went to the cashier and ask her don’t u know these are same price she said yes I said ok … her name start with S . These ppl only looking at one set of ppl. Very racist and those that walk in and stealing they can’t seems to find them that’s why u have a floor walker… u soon leave as the rest
