Metro

I love this store and the friendly helpful staff at the self serve check out it is always a pleasure interacting with them. As with every business you have the helpful and the not so friendly helpful staff but the vibe is always like visiting your local shop not a chain grocery which I love. One question if I bought a lamb leg or shoulder am I able to request it to be cut up for stewing? If someone can let me know. I will appreciate it. And please go back to 24hrs enough now the pandemic is over.

There’s this man named George working at the bakery section . He is the kindest most sweetest hard working man there . He is so sweet every time I’ve come into metro he’s been nothing but helpful and kind. Not like the lady’s in the front who are so bitter . Give this sweet man a raise Metro. Hire more people like him .

I’ve been a shopper here since the store opened. It seems in the last couple months things have gotten really bad. Every time I go to the cashier, there is one to three items that are missed priced. Or prices on the shelves don’t match the actual price.nnI don’t know what’s going on in produce either but a good majority of things are completely missing prices.nnYou shouldn’t give shoppers a reason to shop with competitors.

Terrible experience. I wasn’t allowed to use the self check out. I scanned 4 items and I had 3 employees behind me watching. I almost elbowed one when I was grabbing a box because she was so close. Then one employee was talking to my partner who’s not white about Canada Day and gave him a sticker. He’s in his 40’s and we didn’t have kids with us. Why are you giving him a sticker ? Anyways, everything that I scanned had to get a sticker, including my popsicles, but I’ll attach a picture , and then when I looked at her and asked her why she was doing it. The other employee said that they should just scan all of our items for us. It made us feel very uncomfortable. We weren’t trying to steal. I spent $180. Why would I steal from Metro? Maybe it was because I wasn’t the colour of skin that’s allowed to use it? It was gross and you guys should be ashamed of yourself. You didn’t help any other person at the self check out except for us. Shame on you.

This is the worst grocery store and it used to be the best. I have been going there almost since it opened. There will be a line up 10 customers long at the 1 out of 8 cashiers open and they will not open another because they want you to use the self check out. They should put the male manager back in produce as he has no clue how to run a store.
