Longo's Leaside

Big selection of good quality foods and fresh takeout. Stopped by just for the freshly made pizza as I've heard good things. They are massive! Takes 15 minutes. My only criticism is I think the baker rushed it but I would come back to try another recipe.

Likely the nicest Longos around the GTA. Glad they kept the original structure which was an old train yard built in 1919 so it's over a 100 yrs old. The industrial look is maintained throughout with exposed steel beams, massive industrial windows and exposed brick. But the highlight for me is way up, look up towards the ceiling and you'll see wooden beams that's been there since the beginning. This is a great example of a heritage building properly restored. As for the actual grocery, it's nice too with fresh fruits, meats, and seafood where monkfish is even available. A Starbucks and a second floor eat-in section that overlooks the grocery area makes for a unique setup.

We went in to buy a prepared meal on the run while shopping all day. My husband’s meatball sandwich was good, but my veal sandwich was dry and already hard. I would have returned it but had bought these near closing time. We also bought organic butter on sale which turned out to be rancid. I expected this family supermarket to have high standards. Looks like I will still have to drive across town to shop at Fiesta Farms which has never disappointed……

Growing up as a kid I used to hate when Mom said we were going to have salad for dinner but then again mom's salad didn't look like this... This grocery store has the most amazing salad bar; it's always well stocked and full of interesting choices. When I know I'm going to be working in the area I always make sure to end up here to grab a gluten-free lunch which is perfect for a Celiac like me.

The sandwich was good. Staff were not friendly. Clerk at checkout very slow like she wasn't intrested in her job very lazy. was. Clean store but I won't be back to this one.Disappointed in this store was excited when I went .

Wow the new self check outs are awesome! Checked out in less than half the usual time. Well done Longos. Wish you would introduce self checkouts at the St. Clair/Yonge store, slowest checkout ever. They don't seem to be able to monitor when the line is the length of the store, not responsive...usually staff are tending to plants or buggies and OBLIVIOUS. Laird is your best managed store. They don't kick you off the patio 1 HOUR before closing right after you bought hot food! This is the St. Clair store's SPECIALTY....it's all about making it easier for the staff to close up....no sense of customer service there. Hell even the stock boys at St. Clair are RUDE. They regularly use their carts to boorishly force customers to back up out of isles ...it's all about them. Comments from a senior life long customer with a GROCERY background.

Longo’s Ordered Online Thanksgiving Dinner for Oct 9th 2022 Was not expecting the quality of the meal. Turkey, root vegetables, mashed potato, gravy. Super delicious, compliments all around. Could not cook/host this year due to renovations.. Longo’s saved the day!

This grocery store is beautiful and very well stocked. It has a wine store and a Starbucks inside as well. There are cool carts for kids and a few choices for people with physical disabilities. There are tons of pre-made meals, hot food buffet, awesome salad bar, fresh oven-fired pizza, a beautiful bakery, a deli, a fish market, gift section, flowers, plants and more. It's impeccably clean too. There is a fair amount of organize choices well. Things can be a bit pricey but the quality and freshness is amazing so in my opinion, it's generally worth it. There is free parking and it's located in a plaza with a lot of good companies. I'd recommend.

I only purchased baked goods from this location and I was pleasantly surprised that all of the items were really liked and all were fresh and delicious. The challah bread was beautiful, it smelled incredible, kind of citrusy and sweet and pillowy soft but with subtance. I wish I could have tasted it but hubby did and said it was incredible. The blueberry scones, he said were a little hard but good. The sourdough was perfectly crispy and dense with a tacky consistency, it was beautiful. My husband said the chocolate chip cookies were excellent and I really liked the the sandwich rolls. All-in-all, a great experience with all of the items.The customer service at the bakery and at the checkout was friendly, polite and professional. I'll, definitely, be back!

The Leaside Longo's location is grand in a beautiful building and has a lots of varieties of fresh fruits and vegetable, also flower section is huge with a lots of beautiful flowers for anyone who wants to make their own arrangements for a small wedding or birthday or Christmas centrepiece.
