Fireside Grill

I went to fireside grill for an early dinner at 4:00 p.m. It was Thanksgiving dinner and when I phoned they weren't able to take a reservation they were all booked up. Upon arriving we were seated immediately. Such great service for not having a reservation. Very very delicious appetizer it was a prawn dynamite roll's, it was absolutely delicious and I could not wait for the Thanksgiving dinner. The presentation of the meal was exhilarating and very decorative, the food was amazing with lots of great flavor. There was only one item missing to pair with this meal, there was no dinner roll or even a Yorkshire pudding. Definitely something if I was the chef that I would have had included in the meal. Ended up having dessert which was pumpkin pie and was enjoyable. I will go back to Fireside grill.

I’ve enjoyed brunch at the Fireside Grill a dozen times and it never disappoints. We celebrated Father’s Day with dinner there for the first time and it was spectacular. Our server was exceptional, excellent knowledge and wine pairings, patient with our little kids and acknowledged them, allowed them to order themselves place was busy food was delicious, hot and timely. We will definitely celebrate other occasions here.

Celebrated our 3in1 Birthday celebration with my coworkers. The ambiance is rustic but memorable. The scenery outside is beautiful! Cannot wait for summer what it would look like. Service is phenomenal!Food: 5/5

I reserved the Minstrel’s Gallery for my daughter’s baby shower. The room was delightful including private washrooms. It was beautifully appointed. The party platters and aperitifs were of consistently high quality. The owner Tim was gracious and very helpful when the event date was changed due to COVID. Our server Joe was attentive, ensuring everyone was happy and did not lack for anything. Michelin might well consider giving a sixth star for this delightful spot.

Took my guy here tonight for his birthday dinner and surprised him by having some of the fam there. The food was great, albeit we did have to flag our server down twice I believe, but with the size of tables she was looking after as well as ours we were 7 and she easily had two other tables around 6 people each and a table of what looked like 12, plus other tables of 5 or less she was AMAZING. The service industry as we all know are short staffed and this restaurants staff were nothing short of spectacular. Our server was prompt, polite, was so flexible with our requests and was unbelievably courteous and personable. The restaurant had a beautiful atmosphere, we were seated upstairs, it wasn't loud, we could carry a conversation without feeling we were yelling between all of us. We started with the calamari, it was superb! Would absolutely order it again. The mother in law had the poke bowl, has some spice to it she said but she loved it pic, my guys brother had the Rib Eye pic, my guy had the scallops and pork belly pic and I had the Smashburger, oh and I smashed it. It's a messy endeavor, but very good. I couldn't get through my fries! Portions are a decent size for the price you pay, you may not think at first glance some of these dishes would fill you up, but the quality of these ingredients will make you wish you'd worn stretchy pants. Pffft! Jeans. That was a rookie mistake. We are stuffed! If you're looking for a nice dinner at a decent price, you need to come here. Would make an excellent date night.

I have always had a fantastic time at the Fireside Grill. The staff are absolutely wonderful to deal with and are very patient. The Margherita pizza is the perfect size where you can eat it all and not even feel bad about it. I highly recommend getting the “Fireside Shaft” if you’re looking for a drink, it is absolutely delicious and you’ll surely love it if you’re a coffee or cereal lover.

I dined a few weeks ago with family and we were seated by the fireplace. The place was full and had a very nice social ambiance. It was my first time here and I'm glad to say the food looked and tasted great. Thank you!

This place was awesome. Huge menu but they do everything so well. The cocktails are awesome as well. 100% would recommend. I had the scallops & pork belly. The scallops were some of the biggest I’ve seen and cooked to perfection. My girlfriend had the seafood linguini. It was packed with prawns and scallops and she loved it. The service was also amazing. Shout out to Justin for being such a great server.

Food, service, and ambience were all A+! Out server was excellent and I would definitely recommend this place for anyone interested in something more up-market without the crushing madness that is downtown Victoria. No pics of our mains, but the desserts - brownie, creme brulee, and cheesecake - are included

Beautiful patio in a lovely setting with a stone fireplace that keeps it warm even in the fall season. Our waiter for my daughter’s birthday dinner was superb! His timing and attention were amazing. He anticipated needs before we even asked. He brought a take-out container before we even asked him, and forks for us to share dessert without us having to ask. He was cheerful and his communication with us was top notch. Brilliant!
