Naughty Nellie's Not Just Fish & Chips

It was our first time ordering fish 'n chips from Naughty Nellie's and what a delightful experience it was! The whole family, kids included, beamed about the onion rings. My daughter claimer they were the best onion rings she'd ever had. They were real good. The fish was delicious - done just right with good flavour. The coleslaw was lovely. If there was any slightly negative feelings it was towards the fries - they could have used a little more crisping. That said, the portions were generous so there were fries left over for lunch the next day. I fried them up and honestly, they were better the second day. The fries were awesome after a second frying! We loved our food from Naughty Nellie's and if we're in the neighborhood and have a hankering for fish 'n chips, we'll certainly be stopping by. Recommended.

I had ordered a halibut and cod 2 piece dinner with 2 fried oysters. Excellent meal overall. The halibut unfortunately was a bit overdone as its a bit of a tricky fish to do. However, the cod was very nicely done. The oysters were outstanding and I would gladly order a full meal of this anytime. Large, plump and tender with a light coating, it definitely stood out. The fries were OK, but the Cole slaw seemed to miss a bit of zing. Still, service was friendly and the locals seemed to be enjoying their meals as the place was quite busy throughout.

Absolutely brilliant fish and chips! Beautifully crisp fish, great fries, and luscious mushy peas. Loved that I was able to have ling cod here and the service was super friendly. Huge thumbs up!

Not a big place but the food was excellent. Very busy when we were there and one person working the tables, one cook, and another person in the back. Service was excellent and very personal able. We ordered the chicken strips/fries and the senior cod fish/chips. The batter on the chicken was so light and not real greasy. Same with the fish not real greasy. Being from the mainland and not know where to go we did a hit and miss. This place was definitely a hit. Will definitely go back. Thank you for a very enjoyable meal and great service.

Although there is no such thing as British fish and chips in Canada these are the best in Victoria. The halibut is amazing. Very generous portions. Chips are good. Preferred them when they were bigger but overall go here all the time. Super friendly too.Food: 5/5

Best fish and chips we've had in a while. We had the 2 peice halibut with small fries small fries were plenty enough for 2 people fries/chips were cooked to perfection. The halibut was cooked to perfection and lightly battered. We order take out and are in the parking lots since we were on a work trip and had a small dog with us. The tarter sauce was blended perfectly with zesty lemon and dill. Coleslaw was fresh and and just the right amount of dressing. They also had an assortment of drinks so we got a can of coke to go with our lunch. Over all we highly recommend. Staff was super friendly and helpful prices were reasonable. Highly recommend the fish and chips at Nellies!

The absolute best fish and chips I have ever eaten. The batter was delicious and the onion rings truly wonderful. Cannot say enough good things about this wee place.

This is hands down the best fish and chips you can get. It's about the only place where I can eat all of the breading and not feel sick from the deep fried deliciousness afterwards, and that is a big deal.Food: 5/5

Nice cod burgers, good crunch and moisture! Don't try the calamari though. It tastes distinctly like it's been in the freezer too long... the smell didn't work for me either. Will definitely go back, but not for that.

The fish was very good. The batter was thin but crispy and the meat was juicy and fishy too. The coleslaw salad dressing was delicious but the chips were fiasco. The potatoes used were of low quality without taste of potato and were fried too dry to attempt to make them crispy.
