If you haven't tried Firehouse subs yet, I highly recommend doing so. This was my first time. I ordered a large pastrami sandwich with extra fixings that actually exceeded my expectations. Their sandwich doesn't win any awards for size, but the ingredients were all high quality and perfectly balanced. There is a popular sub chain whose bread gets dried out by the toasting process. The bread at Firehouse subs is just the right amount of moist, with an ever so slight crunch on the outside, where it should be. There was ample pastrami meat and when I asked for extra of certain condiments, they didn't bat an eye. I was well satisfied by half my sandwich and ultimately took the other half home with me, along with two of their food grade buckets. The restaurant was clean and then up in a firehouse theme. The menu may seem a little bit pricey when you don't know what to expect. However, knowing that the business makes generous annual donations to our nation's First responders makes one feel better about spending a few bucks more for high quality. The employees are friendly, responsive and crazy about their own product. Kid-friendliness: What kid wouldn't want to chow down on a delicious sub in a Firehouse themed establishment?
Argumentative employee. I will not be going back. I ordered a turkey sandwich, no onion, no mayo, no ranch. I check it and there is ranch on it. Not a huge deal. I politely say, "I didn't want ranch." The girl who made the sandwich who didn't take my order but is reading the receipt says to me, "you said you wanted ranch". I say, "um no, I didn't" . Then she says, "you said no bacon, no mayo, no onion". I said, "no bacon? I never said that". The worker just wouldn't let it go. Rolling her eyes. Telling me I was wrong. What?! Somehow there was a miscommunication at the register. I'm not sure how no ranch ends up as no bacon on the receipt, the words don't even sound similar, but that's not the bad part. The fact that this employee was arguing and not relenting was terrible. There was another employee that had great customer service and was trying to make it right. She was even apologizing, even though she wasn't the employee with the problem. I ended up asking for a refund and didn't eat the food, which is something I never do. But I just couldn't believe the attitude.
The food was fine but the service was not that great. I went in about 30 minutes before they closed and the lady behind the counter was pretty rude. She made a really big deal about how they were closing soon and that she couldn't do a big order, I only had two sandwiches. She started taking my order and after the first sandwich she started making the sandwich and she wanted me to tell her my second sandwich, but when she went to put the order in she had totally forgotten my order because she was too busy starting the second sandwich. The entire time I was there she was making me feel bad for being there even though they were still open. Once my order was done, she set the two boxes on the counter and told me that if I wanted a bag I had to bag the food myself because she had to go back to cleaning. I definitely did not feel like the service was very professional and I did not appreciate the way she had treated me.
Ordered the Italian. Found that there was only bread and meat when I received my order. There was no lettuce no mustard, it wasn't cold as I requested. Waited about 15 minutes for the sandwich and there was not anyone in line. Don't know what took so long if there was not anything placed in the sandwich. This was my first time there and the last. 10 dollars for a bun and meat.
Love this place. Everything is easy and well done. Sandwiches, service, cleanliness, parking, and drink choices. And the prices are quite reasonable. Get their silly little app and you can pick up free sandwiches every now and then at any Firehouse.
Really tasty food, but it takes too long and seems to take orders too quickly. I wish I could take my order a little bit slower.Food: 5/5
2nd time there. Great food. Fast, courteous service. Parking: Easy in and out at a busy shopping area.
Going to be honest. Put a Togo order in at 11:52 it’s now 12:32 and the order still isn’t ready. At this point My company will take our lunch orders elsewhere. It was literally 3 sandwiches. I don’t know if it’s a staffing issue but it clearly has something going on. 12:34 we were given our order. Yikes
So when they first opened it was great, the people were nice and the food was solid. However, as of late they seem to have fallen off on their ability to make a consistent sandwich or salad. It's really hit or miss as to what you will get. Sometimes things are missing, sometimes the portions seem way off compared to the time before. Our most recent visity wife's salad had three little strips of chicken on it, she described it as "sad". We used to go every couple weeks but now we go when we get tired of the other places in town. They have good sandwich options and they are great when they are made right. They do appear to have lost some key people and it shows. The new people are not as friendly and really don't appear to be trained as well. Worth visiting and we do still go every couple months.
These guys deserve all the stars. What a SUB!!! Had a New York Streamer Sub. It's juicy and tasty, the best Sub I ever had. Kids under 12 eat free after 4 pm everyday.
