Evolve Pro Hockey Training is implementing Edmonton's highest level hockey training program out of Evolve Strength; in combination with on ice training.

Story

Evolve Pro Hockey Training is the combination of a high level strength and conditioning program with specific on ice development that that will correlate with each individuals off ice program. Housed in Evolve Strength a 14,000 sq ft performance centre that includes a full team of rehabilitation specialists, yoga instructors, and dietitians. On ice programming will have a strong emphasis on power skating, in game conditioning and skill development.

Program coordinators and head strength trainers Dylan Stanley and Shawn Belle bring over 20+ years of professional experience from the NHL to professional European leagues. With a combination of knowledge, experience and networking Shawn and Dylan have provided their athletes the proper platform for reaching Major Junior, NCAA, and NHL level.

Evolve used to be a great gym that I worked out at consistently since 2021 but today they have lost my business. I worked out here because I got to choose my footwear and that was never a problem, had confirmed with the manager that it was at my own risk. Today was met by a very sassy, rule follower who didn’t even allow me to finish my workout. Definitely will not be back. Edmonton has way better gyms than this.
I have been a member since 2019 and would like to say the transition to this gym from other recreational gyms has been a very positive experience. As both the members and staff have always provided a welcoming environment. I would definitely recommend people who want to explore a new opportunity at Evolve South.
I'm genuinely disappointed in this Evolve location. As someone who spends 4-5 mornings a week in the north location, I never would have expected how dismal this location would be. If you're a gymnast, or someone who exclusively prefers older style weight machines, this gym could work for you. As someone who prefers running but has knee issues that make treadmills impossible, this was a waste of a 40 minute drive. I didn't expect it to be new and shiny, but the lack of equipment was shocking and the location is kind of sketchy looking from the outside.
Good gym to start your fitness journey. I did a couple of sessions with a trainer and now I work out alone. Friendly staff and the place is clean enough. Only downside is that they don't have a sauna.
I've had several memberships with this gym since it opened, and I have never had a problem until this year. Apparently, they fail to understand the point of a 1 year membership, which is that it ends after 1 year not continues indefinitely. I confirmed how the membership worked when I signed up, confirmed my membership would automatically end on Dec 6th with an employee in November, called to confirm that my membership had ended on Dec 15th and every single time I was told that it would automatically end at the end of my membership which was Dec 6th. Well. Guess not a single employee in the building except the managers know how the memberships work because the assistant manager just told me that my membership does not infact automatically end and that I am required to CANCEL my membership AFTER the 1yr has ended.nnDisappointed that they've made this so complicated for people. The fact that none of the employees are able to understand how the memberships work gives little hope for customers.
