Embassy Suites by Hilton Montreal

Room was gorgeous, the bath was such a treat after days of walking around being a tourist. Breakfast each morning was just okay. It gets extremely busy so finding a place to seat wasnt easy. Happy hour for the drink tickets was the same deal. Overall the stay was great. Great location in old Montreal. Not even a block away from a Metro station which was a perk for us since we got around exclusively through the metro.

Good hotel- Has a lot of old world charm that is forgotten in the United States, like having a print newspaper delivered to your doorstep in the morning. The staff is friendly and service oriented and don't look at you longingly for a tip after they point you in the right direction. The corridors smell fresh. Good bar, centrally located building, good breakfast options. The bathroom in our room was really large, with a shower cubicle and a Jacuzzi. Room service was always on point. Overall, this hotel was really good, and I'd come back again.

The hotel is located right in the middle of the city convenient to get anywhere (especially the train to get you anywhere you don't want to walk to). Food for breakfast was good for buffet and included an omelette station. The staff was very nice and attentive. The concierge was wonderful. We had an issue with the sink in our room, but they were so quick to resolve it wasn't even thought about for long after. Overall I would come back here again when I visit Montreal again.

2 elevators for 11 floors. Had to sit and wait for elevator. When elevator arrived it was full. Was able to take stairs down but they take you outside. They don't exit in the building. Lobby rug was dirty from the salt tracked in and never seemed to be cleaned. Left at 5:30 and there was no one at the front desk. Other than that the rooms were nice and clean. Good breakfast.

Rooms are nice, clean and roomy. My complaint is the WHOLE hotel is scented - it is overpowering, If you are scent sensitive (which I am) DO NOT STAY HERE. As soon as you enter a floor (and your room) it smells like men's cologne. I tried to get my room changed and they told me it would not matter because housekeeping sprays every room with this scent (what are they trying to cover up?) The only thing they could do is not spray my room, while I'm staying it. Could not find another hotel in the area or I would have changed hotels. A very nice suite with a kitchenette but there was only one plate, two bowls, and plastic forks and knives for four people. The pull out sofa had no linen and we had to call housekeeping for it even though we had reservations for four people. And there were only enough towels for three people, Come on people, COMMUNICATE with your staff and let them know whats going on in each room. PLEASE ADVERTISE THAT YOU ARE NOT SCENT SENSITIVE.
