Hotel Bonaventure Montréal

I rarely leave reviews but must congratulate the staff at this hotel for their exceptional service and hospitality. Every staff smiles and are happy, and are great to talk with, from check in staff, to cleaners, room maintenance, executive lounge, restaurants had great attitudes and friendly approachable people. My family loved it. Would be my number one choice when I return. Location is perfect for train travellers but quick walk to everything. The oasis garden and pool makes it feel like a resort, one of a kind! Merci beaucoup!

nnI recently stayed at Hotel Bonaventure Montréal and had already left a review, but I felt I had to come back and share another experience that truly made our stay unforgettable.nnBefore our trip, I reached out to the hotel and mentioned that my friend had recently graduated after a challenging journey. I asked if they would be willing to leave something small in the room—anything at all—to congratulate him.nnWhen we checked in, our room wasn’t quite ready, so we left to explore the city. When we returned later, we found a handwritten note congratulating him along with a cupcake waiting in the room.nnTo some people, that might seem like a small gesture, but to us, it meant so much. It showed a level of kindness, thoughtfulness, and genuine care that you don’t often experience. It made us feel truly valued as guests and turned an already wonderful stay into something we will always remember.nnIt’s moments like these that set a hotel apart. Beautiful rooms and great amenities are important, but it’s the people and the little personal touches that create lasting memories.nnThank you to everyone at Hotel Bonaventure Montréal for making our celebration even more special. We are incredibly grateful and will always remember your kindness. I highly, highly recommend staying here—you won’t just be checking into a hotel, you’ll be experiencing genuine hospitality.

Ok so this is a really cool hotel. Good restaurant, great 24/7 coffee maker that can do lattes, espresso, etc. rooftop gardens are lovely and serene, pool and hot tub we really enjoyednnBUT we had a pretty serious safety issue while staying there. The hotel is old and the door to our room did not close easily - had to be pushed/pulled with some force. We were careful to always ensure it was fully shut. When we came back from sightseeing one day, housekeeping had failed to do this and our room could have been accessed by anyone. Thankfully nothing was taken but this was a pretty big deal to me. I did report it to the front desk and they seemed to take it seriously, but I don’t know what steps were taken.nnSafety might be an issue in general here - it’s cool that you can access the metro directly from the hotel but there is nothing stopping just anyone from the subway coming in and wandering the halls of the hotel. Even in the middle of the night, no key card is needed to get in. No visible security presence.nnWas it a cool hotel with some great amenities? Absolutely. Would I stay there again? Nope. Not safe

We stayed for four nights and had a very pleasant experience. The location was ideal and convenient to everything we wanted to see and do, which made getting around very easy.nThe front desk staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and it was nicely cleaned each day. The housekeeping staff was also very friendly.nThe pool was a bit crowded during our stay, but that’s understandable and certainly not the hotel’s fault.nBefore our trip, I had read some reviews about parking, so I did a little research ahead of time. We found a parking garage directly across the street that was significantly less expensive than the hotel’s parking. It wasn’t valet parking, but it was convenient and worked well for us.nOverall, we really enjoyed our stay. The friendly staff, comfortable room, and ideal location made for a great experience, and we would be happy to return!

The room was really nice and the staff were really accommodating and welcoming! When my husband and I arrived they upgraded our room right away with us even asking. This made our stay there extra special as it was my very first time in Montreal and I was there for my summer vacation. It’s also in a great location if you take the via rail, the hotel is right across the street from the train station which was super convenient. I definitely recommend and will stay here again if I am ever in Montreal :
