Hotel Bonaventure Montréal

We were very happy about our trip to Montreal, we booked a hotel for an above average price, for three nights we paid 1800 Canadian dollars, hoping to get a comfortable hotel in the center of the city since our trip was with a one-year-old child. And what did we get? And we got a super inconvenient hotel, with difficult access to the building and almost impossible access with a stroller, the parking lot is terrible and in order to get to the hotel you have to walk ten circles of hell with that stroller and a child, I understand that maybe such a hotel has the right to exist, but warn, write or at all do not take guests with children. One more point, there was no bottled water in the room, when we asked the reception for water, we were told to drink from the tap! Drinking water from the tap and giving it to the child?!? If you cannot provide bottled water, please warn the guests that there is no water in the room, this is the first time I have encountered this. The room itself was in good condition, the toiletries and towels were excellent, but the cleanliness of the shower room was not great to say the least, I will add a photo! When we reserved the room, the view from the window was important to us, when choosing a room it was indicated that there would be a view of the city, I will also add a photo of the view we got. The soundproofing in the hotel is simply terrible, two out of three nights we could not sleep because of the knocking of renovation works, and another night because of the loud noise in the next room, but thanks to the security guard, the noise was stopped. And one more interesting point, breakfast in the hotel is not included, that is, we paid for breakfast separately, but in the reservation it was indicated that breakfast is free, that is, free for our money?!? You definitely need to work on the service and your hotel is definitely not worth the money, if you can't provide the minimum adequate service then make a lower price!

Lovely hotel with great views. Beautiful interior design, the rooms are neat, clean and comfy. Great location with plenty of underground paid parking available.nnThere is a cool roof top pool, jacuzzi, bar, restaurant conference rooms, gym, beautiful well decorated lounge spaces and plenty of parking spaces. Spa service is outsourced and the company would have to be booked to have the spa session in your room, that was unusual for me.nnIt was disappointing that the Sauna wasn't working during our stay there. So, after a swim, there was no Sauna available nnI still can't understand why there isn't complimentary bottle water and the receptionists are quite elusive with providing one. We were told to go to gym to get one from the dispenser but that was empty throughout. It was pretty frustrating.nnFor me, it was too pricey for the service provided. Not commensurate.

Had a wonderful night in Montreal at the Bonaventure. The best part was the breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, the workers were on strike, but that didn't keep Bruno and his team from offering excellent service. Those that were working went the extra mile. Bruno was so helpful, he even brought us wonderful raspberry danishes fresh from the oven for my family to take back to our room. Kudos Bruno! Thanks for your service and for making our stay excellent.

We love this hotel and have been coming back every couple of years for a long time. Amazing pool area, great 24 hour gym, and excellent service. My only complaint is accessibility. We had to wander all over the place to find a ramp or one of the few entirely hidden elevators to get our stroller/trolley to the room. More and better ramps and better signage for where these elevators are would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately for us, we visited this hotel at the wrong time and way overpaid for what we got. I agree with other recent reviews - this hotel needs some TLC. Thankfully, our room was clean and didn't have water stains, etc. The heated pool and one working hot tub were lovely - one hot tub was inoperable and the sauna never seemed to be on. Gym facility is great! Unbeknownst to us, we booked while almost all the service staff were on strike. We stayed for 4 nights and our room was never cleaned, restaurant was not open. Of course there was no discount on the price even with the severely reduced service. We wanted to love it, and tried to convince ourselves it was worth it - but at the price we paid, we made the best of it. I think this stay has soured us from ever staying here again in the future. There must be comparably priced hotels with similar amenities that are not in such disrepair.
